Want to get better? Follow the best. That’s great advice in any activity, and Counter-Strike 2 is no exception. Today, the CS.MONEY will tell you how s1mple trains, which maps he uses to practice aim, what crosshair he plays with, and even share a couple of his personal tricks to improve your own game.

First of all, s1mple always chooses the best skins for his matches, even for training. You don’t have to copy him exactly, but if you want to get a top-tier skin for a great price, visit CS.MONEY Market and use the easy filters to find what you need!
Training like s1mple, part 1: Aim Bot Practice
- Place: shooting range maps with bots, like Aim Botz
- Time: up to 20 minutes a day
- Reason: ordinary skill practice
Aim Botz is a real classic among warm-up maps. Tons of players use it, including the greatest player in CS:GO history, Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev. A warm-up here takes 10–20 minutes and includes using meta weapons like the AK-47 or Deagle.
During warm-up, s1mple taps, sprays short bursts, practices fast aiming and flicks, and often switches guns. On Aim Botz he treats bots like simple targets, even though the map allows movement settings for them.
Training like s1mple, part 2: Deathmatch
- Where: on community deathmatch servers
- How long: up to 30 minutes
- Why: practicing on competitive maps
Team or solo deathmatch is a great way to practice real situations on maps. With random spawns and free weapon choice, you can train in almost any competitive map conditions. s1mple plays deathmatch regularly, even during big tournaments.
Training like s1mple, part 3: 1v1 matches
- Where: on community servers
- How long: up to 15 minutes
- Why: duel practice
No bot can replace a real opponent. That’s why s1mple also plays duel matches in his training routine. These are small square maps with lots of weapons and cover, and the goal is simple — get more frags than deaths.
1v1 matches are especially useful for sniper duels. Winning such a fight can decide the whole round, so it’s important to practice them.
What crosshair does s1mple use?
Usually, a CS2 crosshair is a personal choice. But you can copy another player’s settings and try them yourself. In CS2 you don’t need to set everything manually — just paste s1mple’s crosshair code:

- disable the intro video
- enable the console in-game
- set max FPS to 999 (keep in mind, s1mple has a super powerful PC that can handle it)

- In-game resolution s1mple: 1280×960
- Aspect ratio: 4:3 stretched
You can also download s1mple’s config using this link. Of course, configs and settings don’t win games. But knowing the daily training routines of the best can help you improve and also appreciate pro players’ skills even more. The most important thing in CS2 is to enjoy the game — and cool skins are a big part of that fun.
