Mouse Settings in CS2
Counter-Strike 2 has only four Mouse Settings in the game menu. Here they are:
- Reverse Mouse
- Zoom Button Hold
- Mouse Sensitivity
- Zoom Sensitivity Multiplier

Best DPI for CS2
DPI stands for Dots Per Inch, that is, the number of dots per inch your mouse covers representing the hardware sensitivity of your mouse. The higher your DPI, the less distance your mouse must travel in order to move your pointer to a selected distance. And, well, it’s impossible to determine the best DPI for CS2. Most esports pro players choose between 400 or 800 DPI, but these values alone won’t tell you anything.
Let’s do a little digging and use some math. If you want to adequately assess the overall mouse sensitivity, use eDPI. Calculating eDPI is easy: you need to multiply your mouse DPI by Sensitivity Value in CS2. For example, if your mouse has 800 DPI and CS2 Mouse Sensitivity is set to 1.3, then your eDPI is: 800 * 1.3 = 1040.
Most pros’ eDPI values range from 800 to 1200, which is a relatively low mouse sensitivity setting in CS2. For example, a player with 800 DPI needs to move the mouse about 24 centimeters to make a 180-degree turn. Anyway, long story short: best eDPI for CS2 is around 1000.
Such low sensitivity has its advantages: it’s much easier to control spray or aim because low sensitivity players have larger error windows when aiming.
