What are stickers and where can you get them?
Stickers are special decals that you can place on different weapons. Each skin can hold up to 5 stickers, and together they create unique combinations — also known as crafts.
There are two ways to get stickers. The first way is opening a capsule. Capsules are like cases but for stickers — and you don’t need a key. Still, it’s all about luck, and the chance of pulling a rare sticker is really low.
The second way is buying from another player. This is also the only way to get old tournament stickers that are no longer available. Here you don’t rely on luck, but prices for some stickers can be extremely high.
What are the most expensive stickers in CS?
The priciest stickers are holographic ones from the EMS One Katowice 2014 tournament. Stickers from Titan and iBUYPOWER are especially valuable. One of these can cost as much as a really good car.
Sticker rarity levels
Valve divides stickers into these rarity categories:
- High Grade
- Remarkable
- Exotic
- Extraordinary
They follow the same color system we know from skins, ranging from blue to red. There’s also the legendary Contraband Howling Dawn sticker, but that’s a separate story. (We’ve covered it in another article, so we won’t go into it here.)
Types of stickers
Stickers also differ by their look and style. Here are the main types:
- Paper (the simplest ones)
- Glossy (smooth and slightly shiny)
- Glitter (sparkles under light)
- Holographic (change colors depending on the angle)
- Foil (covered in shiny foil)
- Gold
- Lenticular
Lenticular stickers are a type of holographic sticker, but instead of changing colors, their design changes depending on the angle. They’re less than 4 years old, but they look awesome!
How to apply stickers to weapons in CS2?

- Open your “Inventory” tab in the game
- Pick a sticker and right-click on it
- Select “Apply Sticker”
- Choose the skin you want to place it on
- Set the position, wear percentage, and rotation angle
- Confirm the placement
- Apply the sticker
And boom — your skin has a fresh new look!
Sticker wear
Some stickers have a special feature: their appearance changes with wear. You might see hidden details, Easter eggs, or just a cleaner look. For example, team stickers from the Paris Major lose the tournament logo as they wear down — sometimes making the design look even better.
Are stickers a good investment?
Some traders seriously consider stickers as an investment, especially rare ones like Titan (Holo) from Katowice 2014. Others stock up on tournament capsules during sales, hoping prices will rise.
