These days, million-dollar prize pools are nothing special. But what’s just as crazy is that teams can spend the same kind of money to strengthen their rosters. Of course, we’re talking about the tier-1 scene. Today, the CS.MONEY Blog will tell you about the most expensive transfers in Counter-Strike history.
Right away, we should say: this list is based on rumors and insider estimates. No one publicly reveals the exact cost of a deal. You can’t buy a pro player on CS.MONEY, but you can grab awesome skins for cheap. Go for it!
Kyxsan, degster, TeSeS — move from Heroic to Falcons (2025)
You’re going to see the name Team Falcons a lot here. That’s because they seem to have an unlimited credit card and don’t really care about the price tag when buying superstars.
In early 2025, Team Falcons made their first big move, buying NiKo from G2 Esports (we’ll get to that later). But changes in the VRS system meant the Bosnian superstar would have to fight through open qualifiers for big tournaments because Team Falcons had no ranking points.
What did Team Falcons do? They paid huge money to buy the core of Heroic (TeSeS, kyxsan, and degster). The community believes the Falcons paid around $6 million. For three solid players, ranking points, and direct invites to top events, that number seems realistic.
m0NESY — move from G2 Esports to Falcons (2025)
Three months after the blockbuster deal we mentioned above, Falcons struck again with another massive signing. After NiKo left, G2’s new star m0NESY wasn’t happy with how things were going. He also really wanted to play alongside NiKo again.
Team Falcons love hyped players, and the price? Doesn’t matter to them. The deal for m0NESY is estimated at $2.5 million. If that’s true, it could be the most expensive transfer of a single player from one club to another.
Kyousuke — move from Team Spirit Academy to Falcons (2025)
The biggest blockbuster of this summer was Kyousuke joining Team Falcons. Many compare Maksim to donk: first, both put up insane numbers for their age; second, their playstyles are quite similar. But donk has already been polished by Team Spirit and plays with consistency.
We can’t say the same about Kyousuke yet, but we’ll see how much he boosts Team Falcons. The transfer of this prodigy is estimated at $2 million.
NiKo — move from G2 Esports to Falcons (2025)
Another move to Team Falcons. This is actually the transfer that started the creation of their superstar roster. NiKo didn’t say yes right away, but eventually decided to switch tags.
It’s believed Team Falcons paid between $1 million and $1.2 million for him. That’s half the price of m0NESY, but it’s partly because NiKo’s contract was close to expiring, and G2 wanted to get at least some compensation.
electronic — move from Cloud9 to Virtus.pro (2024)
We’ll finish our list with a player who had to be here. The second NAVI star and Major champion has been part of two high-budget transfers. First, Cloud9 bought him and Perfecto from NAVI for a rumored total of $2 million.
But Cloud9 didn’t take off, and later sold its assets: sh1ro went to Team Spirit for around $1 million, while electronic became VP’s captain. Rumors say the transfer might have reached $1.6 million, but according to the club’s CEO, the fee was a seven-digit number closer to $1 million. Was that more than NiKo’s transfer? Maybe yes, maybe no.
These aren’t the only transfers worth over a million dollars. Star status and long contracts mean teams demand big buyouts. Seven years ago, such numbers would have been hard to imagine. Today, they’re the reality. And who knows who Team Falcons will buy next. Donk for $5 million? It’s a joke… but never say never.
