Who is malbsMd?
Mario Alberto Samayoa Diaz is a 21-year-old player from Guatemala, the first from his Central American country to break through to such a high level. We mentioned his full name because his nickname, malbsMd, which might seem meaningless, is actually an abbreviation of his full name: M(ario) Alb(erto) S(amayoa) + M(ario) D(iaz) = MAlbsMD.
Throughout his career, malbsMd has played for Team Jaguar, Infinity Esports, Team oNe, 00 Nation, LOS, and M80. During this time, he earned a reputation as a highly aggressive player. Perhaps NiKo wanted his own Donk, and the player from Guatemala has been given a great chance to shine on the professional stage.
MalbsMd plays as rifler. His style is reminiscent of how Donk from Team Spirit plays now: fast and aggressive exits with strafe and counter-strafe, high shooting accuracy and a little recklessness. It’s as if that’s exactly what the G2 Esports team was missing in terms of firepower. While m0NESY provides defensive reliability, it is MalbsMd who can help the lineup dominate on the attacking side.
And this is the main highlight of Malbs. It introduced him to the world for the first time. If not for his ace, the Guatemalan team would have lost 16-0. But it turned out 16-1.
malbsMd CS2 Settings
Looking at malbsMd’s settings in CS2 on prosettings.net, much might seem mundane: 1280×720 with a stretched aspect ratio, plain 400 DPI on the mouse with a sensitivity of 2, and a small green crosshair.
Let’s highlight what stands out:
- Viewmodel: malbsMd has a shift from the default model, with X, Y, and Z values of 2, -2, and -1.5, respectively.
- Most Settings are set to Low. This, on the one hand, increases FPS, but this build can’t be called optimized either. Perhaps this is because malbsMd doesn’t yet have a tier-1 computer setup. We hope that G2’s management will solve this problem, and we will see changes very soon.
- Radar: malbsMd plays with a slightly enlarged radar (size 1.087083 with a standard zoom of 0.4).

Which CS2 Skins Does malbsMd Use?
The Guatemalan player’s new team is the first tier-1 club in his career. Considering he has earned about $60,000 in prize money so far, one shouldn’t expect a rich inventory. At the time of signing for G2, MalbsMd’s entire inventory costs approximately six thousand dollars! With the first victories, the situation will surely change, but for now, we note:
- M9 Bayonet Slaughter and Specialist Gloves Crimson Kimono, a classic combo. Some players use Doppler Ruby instead of Slaughter, but even in this combination, it’s a very worthy red set.
- Desert Eagle Conspiracy StatTrak. malbsMd has made over 50,000 frags with it!
- Several AK-47s, including the fresh AK-47 Inheritance, the legendary Fire Serpent and the classic Vulcan.
- Four AWPs: Neo-Noir, Black Nile, BOOM and Worm God. The latter has nearly 18,000 frags on StatTrak and player stickers from ESL One Cologne 2015—surely a reminder of where it all began.
- Many tournament stickers of different players and teams.
Overall, malbsMd’s inventory is still quite modest, but we’ll see how this situation changes in the future.
For now, it’s clear that the player from Guatemala still has to establish himself among the best of the best players in the world. He has been given a great opportunity, and we’ll see how he makes the most of it.
