Ace with the Desert Eagle by Happy

What do we love about the Desert Eagle? It can deliver a lethal shot with just one click, evening the match not caring if the enemy has a much better economy. There have been many outstanding moments with this gun, but none surpass Happy and his Desert Eagle Blaze during the DreamHack Open London 2015 finals. With four headshots, he prevented TSM from entering Plan B on Inferno!

Shox and his two 1v4 clutches in one Grand Final

Counter-Strike is a team game, but sometimes, one person can stop the whole enemy squad. During the Grand Finals of ESL Pro League Season 3, Shox managed to win not just one but two incredible 1v4 clutches when the opponent was at map point! First, he punished them on Dust 2; then, on Inferno, he persued Luminosity to wait for another round. Unfortunately, after these clutches, the Brazilians twice crushed G2 in the subsequent rounds, proving that although one person can sometimes stop the enemy, Counter-Strike meant to be played in fives.

Back-to-back clutches by Dupreeh

What’s better than one impressive clutch? Two impressive clutches in a row! That’s precisely what one of the best players in CS:GO history, Dupreeh, has achieved. During the BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen Grand Finals, the Dane punished SK Gaming twice. However, that wasn’t enough for Astralis, and the trophy ended up in FalleN’s hands.

Device’s magic 3

If you want to become immortalized in CS:GO by a graffiti, your highlight has to happen at a Major. Everything we mentioned above didn’t meet this criteria, but Device’s pistol savageness during StarLadder Berlin Major won the hearts of many fans, prompting petitions to immortalize these three iconic USP kills with a graffiti. But sadly, it never happened. What made this highlight stand out? The magic of the number three: with only three health points, he had three bullets in the magazine and secured three headshots. Apparently, Valve really isn’t a fan of this number…

Championship clutch by CadiaN

Only 12 teams have won the ESL Pro League, but no one did it as stylishly as Heroic’s captain. In the Grand Finals of Season 13, the Dane found himself alone against four opponents. Much like Rambo, he skillfully knifed one of his opponents and showcased a true CS:GO masterclass. The emotions of his teammates as a cherry on top.

Hiko is Cool, Calm & Collected

A stunning clutch from the North American scene veteran became a true highlight at the MLG Major Championship: Columbus. Yes, the same tournament where Coldzera had phenomenal four kills, but Hiko showed how to punish opponents for their mistakes—calmly and with a legendary skill display.

Stewie2k’s defence in the most critical moment

Imagine you’re playing the 30th round of a decider map in a Major Finals, defending Plant B. Three enemies approach you. What would you do? Something very silly. You freeze. You just freeze and pull a stupid face. But Stewie2k didn’t. Because he had plans of running FaZe Clan over.

Staying Alive: FalleN punishes Natus Vincere

The legendary Brazilian IGL is one of the main contenders for the greatest captain in CS:GO history. In the semi-finals of IEM Katowice 2016, FalleN demonstrated a masterclass in utilizing all available resources. With an AWP Asiimov he picked up from GuardiaN, FalleN made two kills near the B site on Overpass, retreated, crossed the entire map to A, killed two more players, and managed to survive long enough for Zeus to have no time for defusing the bomb. What a round!

GeT_RiGhT has a second left and it’s enough

GeT_RiGhT is one of the best lurkers in CS:GO history, and such players are known for their critical but unnoticeable work. Nevertheless, they sometimes pull off fantastic clutches. At ESL One Katowice 2015, the Swedish player secured four kills against TSM in one round, and the last one happened when it seemed like the round was already lost. When the clock almost runs off and there’s not time to plant, try eliminating the last opponent!

Rain’s incredible game sense

Last but not least, we want to highlight the 1v5 clutch made by Rain at the CS:GO Major in Cluj-Napoca. Calmly, composedly, with no nervous moves, the Norwegian player managed to outplay Team EnVyUs single-handedly. Behind this seeming ease lies the greatness of Håvard: only a few chosen players possess such a deep understanding of the game, and he is undoubtedly one of them!

As we continue to reflect on CS:GO while waiting for the release of Counter-Strike 2, remember that you can already play with cool skins! Go to CS.MONEY Trade, find the perfect option, and rest assured that the skins will carry over to Valve’s new-but-old game so that you won’t lose anything!
