A good way to get better — follow someone who’s already great. That also works in Counter-Strike 2. You can copy the config of donk, m0NESY, or other pros. Today, the CS.MONEY Blog has collected the settings of top players like NiKo, ZywOo, ropz, s1mple and more. What settings do professional CS2 players use? Let’s break it down.

Why copy pro settings?

Copying pro settings won’t instantly give you 1000 ELO on FACEIT. But pros always try to get the most out of their gear, so their settings are often highly optimized. Also, messing with settings helps you understand the game better.
For example, do you play with high DPI on your mouse? Lowering your DPI might give you better aim. Or maybe you’ll like a new bind setup. Just make sure to think for yourself — copying blindly can do more harm than good.
Change settings in the menu or download a full pro CS2 config?
There are two ways to copy pro settings. First, you can just use their in-game settings, without downloading their config. That’s easier, because you won’t need to relearn new binds or change your keyboard setup. And in CS2, almost everything can now be adjusted in the settings menu.

The second option is to download the full config of a pro. Back in the day, this was the go-to method because setting things up manually with console commands was a hassle. By downloading a config file, you could copy your favorite player’s exact setup and see the game like they do. But there’s a downside: even with autopilot, you need to know where you’re going. Copying a config blindly won’t give you perfect settings.
Pro settings in CS2

Even though players have very different preferences, some settings are popular across the board — especially graphics settings:
- Resolution: younger players often pick 1920×1080, but many still use 1280×960 stretched
- V-Sync: off
- HDR (High Dynamic Range): set to Quality
- FidelityFX Super Resolution: off
- Particle and Shader Detail: both set to Low
- Viewmodel settings: FOV at 68, with offsets at X: 2.5, Y: 0, Z: -1.5
For everything else — test different setups and see what works best for you.
Configs from donk and m0NESY
If you want to copy a full config, no problem. Just download the latest config from a pro player. Then place it in the folder: …\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\cfg
Once it’s there, launch CS2 and open the console (usually the “~” key). Type: exec ropz (if the config is named ropz.cfg) Then hit Enter. If the console doesn’t open, you’ll need to enable it. You can do that in the game settings or by adding -console to your launch options.
Keep in mind, pros are still fine-tuning their CS2 settings, so configs change often. We’ve collected the latest pro configs below for you.
Remember that configs are not a silver bullet. Just don’t rush into a match right away. Load up a bot game, get used to the new settings, and tweak them if needed. That’s the only way a pro config will actually help your gameplay.
Configs aren’t the only way to personalize your game. Skins make CS2 truly yours. They help you stand out, add fresh vibes, and just make the game feel better. Now’s a great time to refresh your inventory — and CS.MONEY is the best place to do it.
