All CS2 Pistols Listed
In total, there are ten pistols in CS2. They have already become iconic in video games, all based on real handguns. The full list of pistols in CS2 is as follows:
- CZ75-Auto, rapid-fire pistol
- Desert Eagle, the most powerful pistol
- Dual Berettas, two pistols
- Five-SeveN, a powerful pistol for CT
- Glock-18, default T pistol
- P2000, default CT pistol, no suppressor
- P250, a pistol to pair with AWP or SG008
- R8 Revolver, a revolver that will someday be meta again
- Tec-9, another rapid-fire pistol, but better
- USP-S, default CT pistol with suppressor
We divided them all into four categories: best default pistols, best pistols for $300, best $500 pistols, and best luxury pistols. All of them are necessary and important for different situations, but we will try to determine which gun will be the ultimate best.
Best Default Pistol: USP-S, P2000 or Glock-18?
Glock-18 is available for Attack only, and USP-S and P2000 are tied to Defense. Among these three, the weakest pistol is surely the Glock. It’s a default pistol with the following:
- Lowest damage
- Lowest armour penetration
- Biggest damage reduction at a distance

USP-S and P2000 have a more complicated situation. Both Defense pistols share some of the stats: they have the same damage, rate of fire, and armour penetration. Indeed, they have differences: P2000 has a larger magazine by one bullet and more total ammo capacity with 52 rounds in reserve versus 24 for USP-S.
USP-S responds to this with a suppressor and greater accuracy, which is why esports athletes prefer to use this gun specifically. However, you better not carry USP if you like to close the distance and burst into your opponents.
In addition, USP-S brags with a unique feeling of one-tapping headshots. No other gun in the game, except maybe for Desert Eagle, is that pleasing when you click heads, making you immediately feel like a super agent like Sam Fisher or James Bond. Moreover, you can boost this feeling with skins! Go to CS.MONEY Trade, an easy way to style up your inventory!
Pistols for $300: Dual Berettas or P250?
This pistol category introduces Dual Berettas and P250. These two are very different, so choosing the best is difficult. P250 has:
- Better armour damage
- Lower damage reduction at a distance
But the sad part is that P250 has only 13 bullets in its clip and 26 more in reserve. Dual Berettas not only have more ammo (30 in the magazine and 120 in reserve) but also have a noticeably higher rate of fire. Duals can fire 500 bullets per minute, while the P250 can only do 400.
Basically, there’s little sense in trying to choose between these two. Dual Berettas work better at close range; their enormous magazines allow you to easily face several opponents at once. P250 is better suited for mid-range fights and accurate players who can land multiple headshots on the enemy. So it’s up to your playstyle!
Pistols for $500: Tec-9, Five-SeveN or CZ75-Auto?
Another complicated situation. Here, we have three pistols. Tec-9 is available only for attackers, while Five-SeveN is available exclusively for Defense. Still, both sides can switch their $500 pistols to CZ75-Auto if they want. Anyways, it’s not rocket science: Tec-9 is the best CS:GO gun. This pistol has the following:
- High armour damage
- Large magazine (18 bullets)
- High rate of fire (500 shots per minute)
- Good accuracy
And don’t forget that Tec-9 deals a hell lot of damage besides anything. It’s a universal pistol: good for quick attacks, force-buys, against armoured opponents, and facing several enemies simultaneously.
In contrast, Five-SeveN has only 2 bullets more in its magazine… and that’s it. Still, CZ75-Auto, with its automatic shooting mode at close range, does more damage per second than Tec-9 or Five-SeveN. Nevertheless, this advantage is offset by its tiny magazine (and reserve bullets as well), challenging recoil control pattern and poor accuracy. This Czech pistol can’t really one(two) tap anyone.
Desert Eagle or R8 Revolver?
Unlike other categories, this one has a clear favourite for the best pistol. Desert Eagle. The legendary Deagle surpasses R8 in everything. Even though R8’s damage per shot is 33 higher, due to its low rate of fire and somewhat difficult handling, it loses to Desert Eagle in terms of damage per second.
Verdict: Best Pistol in CS2
Apparently, it’s impossible to choose a single best CS2 pistol. They mostly suit various situations both based on your economy, role, playstyle and even side. Still, Tec-9 and Desert Eagle should share the first place in the battle of best CS2 pistols.
Tec-9 is a good all-rounder; it feels confident at a short distance, deals significant damage and allows you to spam. Both the fire rate and the magazine size work for this. Desert Eagle stands out for its ability to kill with one hit to the head and two shots to the body. This gun has no competitors at a distance of up to 50 meters.
Tec-9 can one-tap heads too, but only at a distance of up to 10 meters. And this is a very short distance, which turns against the Tec-9’s owner. That is why, in the right hands, Desert Eagle is the best pistol in CS2.
So, you can set up your routine to get better at using Desert Eagle. And don’t forget to get some decent skins for it. The easiest way to buy skins is CS.MONEY Trade, with numerous options available and a convenient filter. Got get’em!
