We are happy to announce that we have brought back the Market – a mode where you can buy and sell skins for real money.
After the Steam update, we had to change many things and rethink the principles of the mode in general. The current version of the Market is not final, and we will continue to work on improving it.
Important! Before you start trading in the Market, you need to:
- Install the CS.MONEY Market extension to be able to buy and sell items safely;
- Agree to provide access to Steam session cookies. We do not use them to manage your account, perform transactions, or do anything other than look into your Steam transaction history;
- Check the prices for your skins and the skins you want to buy: some sellers may still need to update them.
For now, let’s say a few words about the most important changes:
- First of all, all transactions are now done only in the browser. Therefore, for the Market to operate correctly, you must install the CS.MONEY Market extension. With its help, you can manage your trades and receive instant transaction notifications. The mobile version of the Market is temporarily unavailable due to the same Steam update, but we will try to restore the app functionality.
- Second, we have started collecting Steam session cookies. Without them, the correct operation of the Market itself, the mobile application and the CS.MONEY Market extension is now impossible. The collected data is not stored on our servers and is used only for requests to your Steam transaction history, for example, to confirm your Market sales on Steam.
- If you have been using scripts and bots to make trades, such transactions may have additional security issues. We do not recommend such practice and remind you that you do so at your own risk.
