Kukri knife files appear every now and then in Counter-Strike 2 updates. First, Valve added the knife itself, then the animations for it. And although the kukri is not formally in the game yet, you can test the new first knife in CS2 yourself right now. CS.MONEY Blog explains how to play and inspect the kukri knife in CS2.
By the way, you can easily access the full list of knives skins available at CS.MONEY simply by this link: Buy Knives Skins. Every single knives skin, just find what you want and go for it!
How to play, test, inspect the kukri knife in CS2?
If you want to inspect a new kukri knife in CS2, there’s one easy way. By the way, you can inspect any knife (without skins) in training mode. To do this, you need to launch it from the game menu. Start by entering these three console commands:
- sv_cheats 1
- mp_drop_knife_enable 1
- (close the console, drop the knife (G by default), aim at the knife, enter the next command)
- subclass_change 526
Be cautious! Don’t rush entering all the there console commands for kukri knife in CS2 at once. First you need to enter sv_cheats 1 and mp_drop_knife_enable 1, then close the console and drop the knife on the ground. Next, aim at the knife, open the console again and enter the third command, subclass_change 526.
By default, the CS2 console opens by pressing the tilde ~. If nothing happens, you probably need to turn on the developer console first: either via the game settings, or by adding -console to your CS2 launch options.
This way you can inspect any CS2 knife (without skins). Want to test Kukri? Use 526 in the end. Navaja? 520. Falchion? 512. And so on. Just change the code at the end of the third command.
Codes for all knives in CS2:
- 500 – Bayonet
- 503 – Classic Knife
- 505 – Flip Knife
- 506 – Gut Knife
- 507 – Karambit
- 508 – M9 Bayonet
- 509 – Huntsman Knife
- 512 – Falchion Knife
- 514 – Bowie Knife
- 515 – Butterfly Knife
- 516 – Shadow Daggers
- 517 – Paracord Knife
- 518 – Survival Knife
- 519 – Ursus Knife
- 520 – Navaja Knife
- 521 – Nomad Knife
- 522 – Stiletto Knife
- 523 – Talon Knife
- 524 – Default knife
- 525 – Skeleton Knife
- 526 – Kukri Knife
These commands/codes only work on servers with sv_cheats 1 and mp_drop_knife_enable 1 enabled. Therefore, replacing a knife in the middle of a regular match, for example, just won’t work.
The Kukri Knife from the First CS2 Case
The Kukri Knife is used by the armies and police of India and Nepal. Its blade resembles a falcon’s wing, and that’s exactly how people call the kukri knife in life. Most likely, the new CS2 kukri knife will be a special item in CS2’s first-ever case. We still don’t know the release date of the case nor its contents, unfortunately. However, now you can see how the new kukri knives will look like in CS2 with standard skins. If you didn’t know, here’s what standard knife skins are:
- Slaughter
- Blue Steel
- Case Hardened
- Crimson Web
- Stained
- Night
- Boreal Forest
- Urban Masked
- Forest DDPAT
- Scorched
- Safari Mesh
- Fade
Every skin mentioned above are basically stock knife skins and all CS2 knives have them. Most likely, the first batch of kukris will have exactly these skins. In order not to miss any news about the release of the first case in CS2, subscribe to CS.MONEY‘s socials: Twitter and Instagram.
