Ambush Sticker Capsule: All Stickers
The update includes a new capsule, Ambush, with brand new stickers. It’s available for purchase directly in the game menu. Here’s what all the stickers from Ambush Capsule look like:
What’s new with CS2 stickers?
Let’s start with the list of changes. In it, the development team noted five changes related to stickers:
- The Ambush Capsule is now available for purchase
- Stickers can now be placed in user-defined positions and rotated when applied to weapons
- All weapons now support up to five stickers
- Added a scaling function when placing stickers for more accurate application
- Various bug fixes and improvements
From the update’s description you can see that the way stickers work has changed dramatically. Previously, most guns had four fixed sticker positions, only R8 and G3SG1 had five. Depending on a position, sticker sizes changed also. At the same time, it was impossible to choose their sizes or locations.
After yesterday’s patch, stickers can be placed as you please. Want five on AWP’s sight? Ez. Make a word with three stickers on AK-47’s magazine? Do it. Cover golden spots on cheap-patterned Case Hardeneds? Oh, you! In general, it’s now complete creative freedom. But, we have to warn you, most likely Valve will make several more amendments to the work of stickers. Right now, some features, like scaling, clearly need improvement.
What happens to old stickers and crafts?
Nothing. Valve has not released a special kit for re-appling stickers, so previously created crafts remain as they were. In some cases, old crafts are even better: for example, now P90 old stickers look a lot larger than what you can craft now. As we have already said, scaling may be changed in the future, but for now old crafts remain unique.
