Key CS2 Tournaments in 2025

Before diving into the full calendar, let’s highlight the most important tournaments that are a must-watch. First, we’ll have two Majors: the first one is set to take place in June in Austin, Texas. As for the second, specific dates have yet to be confirmed, though there’s no shortage of speculation.

When CS2 Majors in 2025?

  • BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025: June 9–22, Austin, $1,250,000 prize pool
  • Unannounced Second Major, December 2025 in Europe (according to rumors)

We also can’t overlook two tournaments that, while not Majors, are consistently marked as key events by both teams and fans. These are IEM Katowice, scheduled to take place in Poland in just over two months, and IEM Cologne, one of the most prestigious tournaments, holding its traditional slot in late July to early August.

2025 S-Tier CS2 Event Calendar

Valve’s intervention has brought back many familiar tournament organizers, creating a packed schedule. Nearly every week, a top-tier competition will take place, presenting teams with tough decisions on which events to prioritize to avoid burnout.

  • BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: January 24–26, Copenhagen, $500,000 prize pool
  • Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025: January 29–February 9, Katowice, prize pool TBA
  • PGL on FiRe Buenos Aires 2025: February 13–23, Buenos Aires, $1,250,000 prize pool

  • PGL Bucharest 2025: April 3–13, Bucharest, $1,250,000 prize pool
  • Intel Extreme Masters Spring 2025: April 21–27
  • BLAST Rivals Spring 2025: April 28–May 4

  • BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025: June 9–22, Austin, $1,250,000 prize pool

The first half of the year appears relatively light, especially since most tournaments will be in Europe. Standout exceptions include the trip to Argentina, which lacks neighboring events for logistical support, and the tournament in India, which may attract teams that fail to qualify for the Major. Big teams will likely stay in North America, attending IEM Dallas before heading to the Major, as both events are conveniently located in Texas.

It will also be intriguing to see how BLAST handles its second Major and whether the trophy will resemble a melted cheese triangle once again.

The latter half of the year will feature greater variety among tournament organizers, including two events from FISSURE, the return of StarLadder, and Perfect World’s CS Asia Championships.

  • FISSURE Summer 2025: July 15–20, Belgrade, $1,000,000 prize pool
  • Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025: July 23–August 3, Cologne
  • BLAST Bounty Fall 2025: August 15–17, Copenhagen, $500,000 prize pool
  • BLAST Open Fall 2025: August 25–September 7, London and Copenhagen
  • FISSURE Autumn 2025: September 9–21, Belgrade, $1,250,000 prize pool
  • StarLadder StarSeries Season 20: September 13–21, Budapest, $500,000 prize pool
  • Skyesports Championship 2025: September 15–21, India, $500,000 prize pool
  • ESL Pro League Season 22: September 23–October 12, Europe
  • CS Asia Championships 2025: October 1–13, China
  • Thunderpick World Championship 2025: October 15–19, Europe, $850,000 prize pool
  • PGL Belgrade 2025: October 23–November 2, Belgrade, $1,250,000 prize pool
  • Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2025: November 3–9, Chengdu
