CS.MONEY Virtual Inventory

One of the unique features of the CS.MONEY website is the user’s virtual inventory. What is it and why is it needed? Read in our blog. You probably know that on CS.MONEY you can exchange skins from CS: GO for skins from Dota 2 and vice versa. In the latest update, Valve added a Battle Pass to the next The International and at the same time changed the rules for exchanging items for Dota 2. Now all skins immediately after the exchange receive a tradelock for 6 days and 20 hours.

What is tradelock?

Tradelock is a time limit that does not allow you to exchange or sell items purchased in the game or on the Steam Market for a certain period of time. Valve introduced this feature for the safety of players – the company believes that on average players exchange a thing no more than once a week, and such a restriction will prevent you from scammers. The same restrictions already apply in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, CS.MONEY created a special virtual inventory that does not slow down the process of exchanging skins.

Virtual inventory and the tradelock

To simplify the trade under the new restrictions in Dota2, we used the same tool as for CS: GO. Thanks to the virtual inventory, you can forget about the weekly ban on the exchange. The inventory can be found in the drop-down menu on the main page of the site in the left window, where the skins are displayed. Skins in virtual inventory can be sold, exchanged, or simply transferred to Steam inventory. On the site you can exchange any items, even if they are temporarily in the tradelock. After the exchange, a virtual copy of the received item will be stored in your inventory.

How to withdraw?

While the item is locked, you can freely trade it for any other skin or item on our website. This is completely safe – items in the virtual inventory are no different from usual ones, except that until the end of the ban they are not visible on Steam. Immediately after the end of the trade ban, the “Withdraw” button will appear on your item. Be careful: one click on a skin in a virtual inventory will put it up for sale. The withdrawal can be set only by clicking on the “Withdraw” button. Author: M.Habinsky
