What are stickers in Counter-Strike 2?
Stickers are both an item and a decoration for a skin. It’s pretty simple: you get stickers, you apply them on skins, you can also scratch them off if you want, and that’s all. With a recent update, Valve allowed stickers to be placed over the entire area of a skin and up to five stickers per weapon. Previously, the game developers allowed to apply stickers to only four pre-set sticker positions and they could not be moved or changed, but this has been changed. Also, depending on the chosen location, the sticker may change slightly in size.
Sticker designs are very different, from simple drawings to entire works of art. In sticker images you can find almost anything: webs, diamonds, pin-up girls, anime, Warhammer, cultural references, Halo, memes, comics, and whatnot. Also, tournament stickers are a separate group: stickers with team logos, tournaments and player autographs. They are only available from Major Capsules.
How to get stickers in CS2?
Unlike skins, stickers cannot be used in Trade Up contracts. You can get yourself a sticker in several ways, namely:
- Open a sticker capsule
- Buy or exchange from another player
- Receive from Operation shops
In addition, stickers cannot be obtained in the weekly drop. All this makes stickers different from other items in CS2.
Types of Stickers in CS2
Stickers can be divided by rarity and style. There are five types of rarity, from rarest to most common.
Stickers in CS2 by Rarity
- Contraband. It’s a unique sticker, Howling Dawn, only one in the game.
- Extraordinary. Rare few stickers, beautiful and expensive.
- Exotic. Also rare but CS2 has lots of them.
- Remarkable. common but can still be expensive, depending on ideas and design.
- High Grade. It’s the most common type of sticker.
Stickers in CS2 by Quality
In addition to rarity, stickers differ in style, which determines the appearance. Today there are seven such styles.
- Paper. The simplest and most common stickers. Just a paper sticker, no special effects.
- Glossy. These stickers resemble well-polished metal or stone, they shine a little.
- Glitter. Stickers that shimmer and sparkle depending on the lighting.
- Holographic. Holographic stickers change color depending on the lighting.
- Foil. These reflect light like metal, pretty expensive.
- Golden. Similar to Foil, but made in Gold color.
- Lenticular. Parts of the sticker change appearance depending on the viewing angle.
In most cases, the higher the rarity of the sticker, the more it is worth. But there are exceptions. For example, the Exotic Crown (Foil) sticker costs more than the Extraordinary stickers.
What stickers in CS2 are worth buying?
When choosing stickers to buy, you need to set up a goal. If this is an investment, you should pay attention to stickers in limited quantities, the most popular and easy option is tournament stickers. The reason is that you can receive capsules with such stickers just in limited time during the Major tournaments. Therefore, they are limited in quantity and tend to increase in cost.

How to remove stickers from skins in CS2?
To remove a sticker from a skin, you need to scratch it several times. It’s an in-game mechanic available when inspecting your skins. Each time you scratch, a small part of the sticker will be erased. Eventually, the sticker will disappear completely and be removed from the skin. This procedure will also destroy the sticker! Note that some stickers hide Easter eggs that can reveal themselves after a few scratches.
