The AWPer’s loadout: sci-fi, toxicity, and eastern mythology

The AWPer is a crucial role in CS:GO. For instance, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander said, not too long ago, that his team could become the world’s best, but it needed an AWPer for that end! And a good AWPer should have a great loadout. The CS.MONEY Blog has prepared three cool skin sets for snipers.

Sniper of the future

Are you a fan of Interstellar? Couldn’t put down Starship Troopers books when you were a kid? Love Mass Effect? Well, in that case, you’re definitely a fan of sci-fi and all things technological. The sci-fi esthetics is undeniably gorgeous. Minimalism, purity, rich colors, and powerful shapes. Bottom line: great eye candy material.

The prize of the loadout is the AWP Asiimov. Named after Isaac Asimov, one of the founding fathers of science fiction, the skin is executed in white, black, and orange. The gun looks awesome. It would fit in perfectly with Tom Cruise’s gear in Oblivion and Commander Shepard’s arsenal.

Besides the sniper rifle, we recommend the USP-S Orion. The black-and-orange USP skin is curious not only thanks to the eye-catching image but also due to its extremely limited number. Fact is, one of the artists who created the finish was involved in the M4A4 Howl scandal. As a result, you can no longer get a USP-S Orion out of The Huntsman Weapon Case. That said, this purchase is a risky investment.

Let’s complement our inventory with a pair of Specialist Gloves Foundation and a Bayonet Autotronic knife. The gloves go perfectly with that AWP. And it’s not just the color scheme. See, one of Isaac Asimov’s most celebrated novel series is called Foundation. It’s a fantastic combo! P.S. By the way, a TV show of the same name is coming out soon — judging by the trailer, we’re in for some high-quality content.

As for the knife, everything is simpler. The Bayonet Autotronic is executed in red and boasts a lightening insert on the blade. While it may not look very “spacey,” it’s definitely highly technological.

Toxic set

From a sterile technologically advanced future, we proceed into a vat of acid, venom, and toxic weapon finishes for the toughest AWPers. This kit will help you melt enemies down like Alien blood melts metals!

The AWP Containment Breach is covered with mutant rats rushing somewhere through a neon green forest. If there is a truly toxic skin in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, it’s definitely the AWP Containment Breach. For a combo, we recommend that you pick a Glock-18 Nuclear Garden. This design is also bright green, but instead of rats, it features human skulls with signs of radioactive contamination.

This green couple is begging for the company of some green knives and gloves. As for the former, we suggest you stick with a Flip Knife Gamma Doppler Phase 2. The small curved blade resembles a snake’s fang. Its blade shimmering in shades of green from marsh to emerald.

Finally, gloves! Of course, we chose Broken Fang Gloves Jade. In China, jade is considered a symbol of power, but we’re only interested in its deep green color. By the way, the item is relatively cheap for gloves: you can upgrade your inventory with these luxurious green gloves for less than $200.

Crouching tiger, lurking dragon

Snipers are somewhat similar to ninjas: they, too, need to stealthily deliver the death blow and escape. However, assassins of the East appear much more frequently in all manner of myths and legends. That’s why we decided to take inspiration for our third loadout from legends.

We picked the AWP Wildfire as a base. That’s an actual fire dragon, after all! Seriously, what could possibly beat that beastie? Perhaps only its frag-counter counterpart. It’s so beautiful that you wouldn’t even want to apply stickers to it.

For a perfect combo with the AWP, we recommend another skin with an oriental dragon: the Desert Eagle Kumicho Dragon. He has a badass advantage. As its float increases, it grows darker instead of getting covered in usual scratches. In Battle-Scarred condition, this finish is almost black. It looks pretty darn stylish. Style-wise, its FN version would be more suitable for this AWP.

Where there are dragons, there should also be tigers. The Ursus Knife Tiger Tooth is definitely the right knife to illustrate this idea. The blade is covered with stylish tiger stripes, and the price is a pleasant surprise too: you can get a Factory New copy for less than $300.

Among the gloves, we settled on the Specialist Gloves Tiger Strike. Black, white, and shades of orange are what the doctor ordered for a selection like this. A must for our loadout.

But if you prefer brand-new Operation Riptide skins, be sure to take part in our Gleam event. The grand prize is a butterfly knife Lore FT! The event will run until October 15, so hurry up! And to increase your chances of winning even further, go here and enter the promo code kuWQhWZ. Good luck!
