NAVI are PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Champions! It’s the first time in the org’s history when they become the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major Winners. To celebrate their victory, the CS.MONEY blog reminisced on the best NAVI’s moments at the event and collected the Champions’ inventory — the skins that s1mple and co used on their way to the victory.
Criteria for selection
NAVI had a fantastic tournament all around. Not a single map lost, a very strong playoff game, and a final that kept the fans on pins and needles. We decided to focus on the more recent matches and select skins from them.
S1mple — StatTrak™ M4A4 Howl
The last map in PGL Major Stockholm 2021 witnessed a lot of interesting things. For one, s1mple performed an ace with a single fire burst. Namely, the Ukrainian player emptied the entire magazine of his StatTrak™ M4A4 Howl — you can enjoy this spectacular highlight below. To be more precise, it’s a StatTrak™ M4A4 Howl Factory New that s1mple has among his possessions. This is a super-rare weapon finish — almost as rare as an ace in the finals of a Major.
Boombl4 — Talon Knife Case Hardened
No doubt NAVI fans will easily remember a couple of situations where members of their favorite club stabbed their opponents in a match. Some of these stories ended horribly, but usually, everything went according to plan.
In the match against Gambit Esports, NAVI’s captain, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, collided with an opponent while rotating. With only a Talon Knife Case Hardened in his hands, he made a few blows and managed to send the foe back to the spawn area. He didn’t even have time to shoot!
Perfecto — M4A1-S Printstream
In the same match against Gambit Esports, Natus Vincere performed a two-player highlight. While fending off enemies’ entry to B Site on Mirage, Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy and Denis “electronic” Sharipov took out all five opponents. To this end, electronic used a trophy AK-47 Slate, and Perfecto resorted to his M4A1-S Printstream.
B1t — P250 Cartel
In the case of Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskyi, we decided to take a skin from a highlight where he made only one frag. Does it seem like a trifle to you? You couldn’t be more wrong: the player made that frag in a 1-v.-1 situation. Given all the pressure of the circumstances, it’s rather surprising that b1t didn’t start spamming his fire! Credit where credit is due for his sangfroid. By the way, it was a P250 Cartel that he used — a most curious design that’s regular eye candy.
electronic — M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle
We’ll finish the champions’ set with a skin from Denis “electronic” Sharipov’s collection. In the match against Vitality, he found himself caught between a hammer and anvil. On Dust 2, two opponents passed through the zigzag, and another one flanked through long. The situation was definitely not favorable, but the NAVI rifler won in this 1-v.-3 scenario using his M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle.
