Along with The Armory Update, a whole ton of new skins, a new maps in the pool and other things, Valve also presented the most unusual and unexpected thing (although, dataminers have long ago leaked everything): keychains for skins, also known as charms. Today, CS.MONEY Blog will show all the keychains/charms in CS2 and show where you can hang them.
By the way, these new keychains will obviously be available for exchange and sale. So, of course, they will appear on CS.MONEY in a week! But don’t waste time, come to us now and sell your old skins to be ready for the new ones!
What are keychains/charms in CS2?
A weapon charm (aka keychain) in CS2 is a cosmetic item: a small toy charm/keychain that can be hung on any weapon in any place. They drop out of special charm capsules.
A charm/keychain in Counter-Strike 2 is not a new thing for the industry since this feature has been implemented in a bunch of other games years ago. In Apex Legends, Call of Duty and many other first-person shooters, keychains/charms have been there for a while, and finally they appeared in our favorite game as well.
Small Arms Charms
All Small Arms Charms keychains look like mini-weapons. Here you will find Tec-9, MAC-10, AWP, AK, USP and classic knives. Modest, simple, but tasteful.
Missing Link Charms
But Missing Link Charms are more interesting: these funny meme “sausages”, as Valve themselves call it in the update announcement, will perfectly decorate any skin in your collection. There’s a slimey guy looking like Pudge from Dota 2, a banana dude, classic agents, a chicken, a cat, a hamster and even a Howl!
Where to hang keychains/charms?
The Armory patch notes read as follows:
“I bet I can only put it in one place,” you say. Well you’re dead wrong! You can put them anywhere you want. (As long as where you want to put them is on your gun.)
And Valve weren’t lying when they said that. Keychains/charms in CS2 can really be hung anywhere on your skin. Just like stickers!
Moreover, in the game store you can buy an item that allows you to MOVE a keychain/charm from one skin to another. One such item allows you to detach an already placed keychain/charm three times.
