Best Workshop Skins of October

New skins are added to the Workshop every day. And since they are so numerous, it’s easy to overlook true masterpieces among mediocre works. We chose the five coolest skins added to the Workshop in October.

AK 47 Chromatic Aberration

Chromatic aberration is a highly popular effect in video games. Usually, it’s seen in the form of artifacts on edges of various objects. The creator of this AK-47 skin, kosear, obviously drew inspiration from those artifacts!

Stripes in shades of purple are stylishly placed against a black background. The skin also has decorative elements in droves: crosses, printer’s marks, stars, and others.

This skin reminds somewhat of the Desert Eagle Printstream, which is extremely popular. If the AK 47 Chromatic Aberration appears in the game, it’ll certainly be no less popular!

P2000 Plague doctor

October is normally associated with Halloween. And at Halloween, it’s hard to imagine a suit cooler than that of a plague doctor. BASBAY, the creator of the skin, was obviously thinking the same and decided to decorate the P2000 with an image of a plague doctor.

Only instead of the tried-and-tested black palette, here are all the colors of the rainbow to be seen. The result looks juicy and unique, with the change of color favorably enhancing the gloominess of the image! The details include a flame in the glasses, bloody patches on the “beak,” and even a crow.

MAC-10 Overload

The cyberpunk aesthetics is being hyped again — the fantastic movie Blade Runner 2049, the upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077 by CDPR, and the TV show Altered Carbon from Netflix all belong here, to name a few. Now you can also add a dozen cool Workshop skins to this list of cool cyberpunk stuff.

We totally dug the MAC-10 Overload, which looks just as flashy and bold as you when you’re rushing B Site with it. Indeed, a worthy rival of the MAC-10 Neon Rider. Would you like to see it in the game? Tell us in the comments.

USP-S Lethal Prescription

CS:GO already features ‘The Doctor’ Romanov as an agent, and he could definitely do with a skin to continue the medical topic. Lethal Prescription catches the eye with its vivid silencer, very similar to a pill jar.

It’s a pity the gun’s body doesn’t look as witty. If Slevin, the creator of the skin, fixes this, the USP-S Lethal Prescription is sure to become one of the most worthy candidates to appear in the next case.

AK-47 SK8 BEAST

Another thematic skin, this time devoted to skateboarding. The skin was created by the duo Ezikyl and moonfighter, who masterfully included all the attributes of the subculture in the image. There are scuffs on the butt and graffiti on the body, and the name of the skin contributes to the effect too.

This esthetic combines favorably with wear and tear! The AK-47 SK8 BEAST will make a fine addition to an inventory, whatever the float. The only thing left is for Valve to actually add it to the game.
