Where Will the CS2 Majors Take Place in 2025?

210

Although there is no single tournament in the competitive Counter-Strike ecosystem that dominates all the attention of players, majors stand apart. Fans enjoy the pick’ems, players love the stickers, and now the tournaments from Valve and its partners clearly divide the seasons in half. Today, the CS.MONEY blog will tell you where the CS2 majors will take place.

By the way, we currently have a big Battle Pass event going on, where you can earn free skins! All you need to do is play CS2 and complete some simple tasks.

Where and When Will the First Major of 2025 Take Place?

The answer to these questions is quite simple, as the official announcement has already been made. From June 9 to 22, BLAST.tv will host the major in Austin, Texas, USA. This company is already memorable to us from the last CS:GO major in Paris. That time, Team Vitality became the champions, and ZywOo sealed his position as the best player of 2023.

The prize pool for the tournament will be $1,250,000, which is no different from other tournaments. The champion will receive half a million dollars, and the teams eliminated in the opening stages will each earn $10,000. The only difference will be in the qualifiers, as Valve is moving away from the RMR system, but we’ll have to fully understand the changes when the organizers make further announcements closer to the event.

Where and When Will the Second CS2 of 2025 Major Take Place?

The situation here is less certain, as there are big rumors circulating in the community, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We can’t say for sure where the second major of CS2 in 2025 will be, but the most likely location is Budapest, Hungary, and the main partner of Valve will likely be Starladder, which is returning to hosting the Counter-Strike events. The first half of December 2025 is mentioned as a possible date. Starladder is also known for the CS2 Major in Berlin.

It’s highly probable that there will be no significant changes in format or prize pool here, and we’ll see the same setup as in Austin. The map pool might change by that time, and Valve will likely make some exciting updates.

It’s very likely that we’ll see announcements regarding the second CS major soon. Counter-Strike continues to thrill millions of players, and one of the key components of the exciting experience is the skins. Head over to CS.MONEY, and buy skins without overpaying in just a few clicks!
