Who is ruloN, and what is the club named after him?
Adam Wiśniewski, aka ruloN, is a Polish Counter-Strike player who is now mostly remembered only by the oldies, and even then, not everyone. He played from 2004 to 2011 but never reached superstar status on the pro scene. In 2008, he played with the Polish team against the Russian team. The match went terribly, and by halftime, his stats were an awful 0-15.
The thing is, no matter how one-sided the game may be, finishing the first half with zero frags and dying every round is an unusual feat. Even in the worst-case scenario, you’d expect to once catch a good timing, get a trade kill, or successfully save at least once during the game. So, the 0-15 statistic is truly an “achievement” in its own way.
How to join the ruloN club?
It’s probably better not to. Despite the fact that some Major champions have made it in, it’s still a pretty humiliating result, reminding everyone of a terrible game performance.
However, there are certain rules. In the most canonical version, you need to have 0-15 stats by halftime. Given that a half now consists of 12 rounds, the numbers have been adjusted to 0-12. In the harshest version, you should have zero frags for the entire game. In a slightly softer version, you can avoid dying 12 times in the first half, but at some point, your stats should still be 0-12.
Who has made it into the ruloN club?
This club has seen some well-known players. For instance, Karrigan, considered one of the greatest CS captains of all time, made it into the ruloN club—in the deciding map of the PGL Copenhagen Major Grand Final! On Inferno, Karrigan had a dreadful first half in attack, but after the sides switched, he managed to get just one frag.
His teammate broky also made it to the ruloN club five years earlier, when he suffered a crushing defeat with Epsilon against AVANGAR.
