Five players to watch during IEM Rio Major

2456

The most important tournament of this fall starts soon. Twenty-four teams will fight on virtual servers for the CS:GO Major championship. We expect lots of thrilling matches and exciting highlights. You all know the names of the main stars there; that’s why instead CS.MONEY Blog will tell you about five players worthy of your attention.

Dorian “xertioN” Berman

Let’s start with a player who proved himself on the academy level but has yet to reach his potential in the elite competitive environment. The 18-year-old player from Israel only recently moved to the main roster of MOUZ, but he has already shown decent performance. Dorian might be called the second star of the team, and it would be interesting to watch his growth.

In fact, xertioN’s average rating significantly differs depending on the opponent. In the last three months, Dorian had a 1.10 rating against the top 20 teams, with only 0.94 against the top 5 teams. That is also a sign of potential room for growth. First part of the promo code: CQQ.

Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi

The Dane of Iranian descent had already appeared on our radars when he was only one step short of play-offs in Antwerp. He had a solid tournament with the Copenhagen Flames back then. Now Nico is with Fnatic, and during the last RMR, they did well. Nicoodoz finished the tournament with the second-best individual rating of group A. It looks like the Dane is on a roll now, so we expect a leap in results.

Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia

We’ve already talked about this Spaniard. Alvaro has an impressive second half of 2022, and the Rio Major should be a final exam on the path to the top 20. It is amazing, considering we didn’t hear about him even a year ago.

Now he has the right team to shine. ENCE finished the latest RMR tournament with an impressive 3-0, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them high above again. By the way, you can read about other surprises of the Road to Rio RMR here. Second part of the promo code: 9Z1.

Franco “dgt” Garcia

They are not relatives. They are not even from the same country. But what unites dgt and SunPayus is the stellar individual performance during RMR. We praised the whole 9z Team. Still, Franco himself finished the Americas qualification with the fourth-best average rating. Who knows, will the fairy tale of 9z have its good end in Rio?

Victor “Staehr” Staehr

This is the first Major in Dane’s career. Almost all of 2022 Victor spent in Sprout, and this is his first big team. Sprout passed the qualifying with confidence, finishing third in European RMR A. Victor had the highest rating in his team. For Staehr, the upcoming Major will be a serious test. Maybe after it, we will talk about him as a top-level player.

We expect that all five of these players will change the game. Become the game changer with us: in this article, we hid a useful code which will bring you closer to the variety of cool prizes. Go to the GameChanger Hub for more information.
