As we approach 2024, the first full competitive year in the history of Counter-Strike 2 esports, a lot of things remain unclear. Teams have yet to finish reshuffling, the motivation and adaptation of several players remain uncertain, and how the game itself will change is still unknown. In this article, CS.MONEY Blog will attempt to peek into the future to highlight five teams that will shine and become best in 2024.

MOUZ: The Young and Talented
It’s pretty odd to talk about a CS2 team that currently holds the third spot in the HLTV rankings as one that will shine next year. See, their main firepower, Frozen, has transferred to FaZe Clan and the team still needs to win huge international tournaments to prove their strength.
But what we can say for sure is that the core of the team, the young, bright and talented players, along with the ingenious Sycrone as the coach, still remain. Siuhy is fired up and ready to show his worth, being the IGL of a new generation; and his teammates will follow him because he chose them over everyone else after Gamer Legion. This means that MOUZ’s prospects stay intact. Their adaptation to CS2 should be smoother since they’re younger and they already have experience playing on stage, which means there are all chances for a big step forward and major victories.
Monte: The Dark Horse
Like Mouz, talking about Monte as a club that will truly shine in 2024 feels strange. Currently sitting in seventh place in the rankings, this Ukrainian organization has yet to clinch a spot in the tier-1 scene. Moreover, Monte risks being a perpetual donor to the powerhouses (there’s nothing wrong with this business model if it’s profitable).
However, BOROS’s departure and signing br0 instead didn’t sink the team but rather showed that the management works skillfully. For this reason, Monte has good prospects. Well, or at the very least, they can become a serious underdog to the entire esports scene and often cause inconvenience to those who underestimate them.
ENCE: The Roster Puzzle Solved Could Bring Them To Top
In 2024, ENCE will be one of the dark horses as well. On one hand, the team has a set of talented performers who could play at a great level. Add to this the signing of Gla1ve + Kuben: ENCE gains championship experience and mentality through this move, and the team’s ceiling breaks.
On the other hand, Gla1ve finds himself outside the Astralis system for the first time in seven years. Moreover, after the golden lineup fallen out, the Danish club hasn’t shown high results. Now, in a new game and with a new team, perhaps this is precisely what one of the best captains in CS:GO history needs. Still, it requires proper work.
Team Liquid: Lock’n’loaded To Shine
Team Liquid is putting together the most promising roster of all in CS2, there’s nothing even to discuss here. They have CadiaN as captain, the main star in Twistzz, the young Brazilian Skullz with huge potential, and Naf + YEKINDAR clearly will not lose their highest quality in the next couple of years.
But it’s not even about how big the names are. It’s a great org with decent management as well, although, they for now remain as a team from North America’s region, so it could affect their performance if they won’t travel a lot. Also, we can’t just ignore Twistzz, who has consistently made correct and sensible moves in his career when choosing a team. That’s why he’s the only player to have won two Intel Grand Slams, each with two different teams. Twistzz sets his priorities right, and therefore, his new team will perform at a high level because the Canadian player wouldn’t otherwise agree.
Cloud9: One Change Short of Greatness
Finally, we can’t ignore the big comeback of the big captain. Boombl4 obviously didn’t have the last word. We can already see how the team is progressing under his leadership compared to the first months when C9 signed Perfecto and Electronic. This was a logical step, because the organization’s abundant cash injections into transfers without a well-thought-out strategy seemed like suicide.
Most likely, Cloud9 have not yet finalized their roster, and in the long run the team will turn into a dominant force in the CS2 scene if things go their way. For example, the media is full of rumors about m0NESY moving to the C9 camp, and only a casual player will not notice how the team lacks a quality sniper. We can only wait for big tournaments next year.
