Another patch has been released for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. As part of the update, the developers corrected two maps and added stickers for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022!
Patch Notes
Patch made changes to the Climb and Ember cards. On the first, they corrected the purchase zone based on the attack. In the second, one geyser and a couple more bugs were corrected. Nothing special, especially since both cards are not from a competitive set of cards.
Also added to the game were a pass for Antwerp 2022 and capsules with team logos and player autographs. Pass buyers receive:
- An upgradable Antwerp 2022 Event Coin;
- Access to the Antwerp Pick’Em Challenge;
- Unlimited team graffiti for the duration of the event;
- Steam.tv team flair;
- Access to Antwerp 2022 Souvenir Packages;
First time in a major
In total, 24 command stickers can be found in the capsules. As many as six of these teams perform for the first time under their tag in major. These are teams such as: Imperial Esports, 9z Team, IHC Esports, Eternal Fire, Outsiders and Bad News Eagles.
Note that stickers of “newcomers” in major are popular. According to sales statistics on the Steam marketplace, stickers with Imperial Esports, Eternal Fire, 9z Team and Outsiders logos in any quality are now in the top sales among the stickers in this major.
New type of sticker
In addition to six new commands, a new type of sticker can also be found in the capsules. These are sequin stickers, such as Imperial Esports Glitter Antwerp 2022. These stickers took the place of holographic in the ranking of rarity, and holographic ones rose higher and supplanted foil stickers.
Yes, everything is right, there are no phil stickers on this major, only ordinary ones, with sequins, holographic and gold. It is still a mystery whether Valve will adhere to the new format in future tournaments.
Note another interesting fact — the stickers of this and the previous major are very similar. They differ only in insignificant details. The most notable of these: the name of the major itself now looks a little different. It shifted closer to the center of the sticker, and the background changed for the text. Most likely, this similarity is due to the fact that both majors are held by one tournament operator – PGL.
