Another month means yet another selection of skins from the Workshop. This time, it features a syringe-9, a marine P250, and a roulette revolver. Join us for this exciting tour with CS.MONEY as today’s guide!
Syringe
The geometry of the Tec-9 looks very curious. It seems like the pistol grip was sewn onto a tube with a magazine sticking out of it. That creates an effect that’s both imposing and pretty weird. We should note that this feature of the gun is used for creative skinmaking purpuses. Of all the skins that are now in the game, only Bamboozle and Flash Out involve a clever play on the shape of the Tec-9.
Syringe is another such skin, but from the Workshop. The author of the skin, Nero, painted the upper part as an “automatic syringe,” and it looks very funny. Given that such syringes contain sufficient, not to say huge, doses of medicine, the idea can be interpreted as: “One dose is enough.” And indeed, the Tec-9 can kill with one shoot. Cool, cool, cool.
True King
Another skin by 2Minds. Well, you know, yet another art with an awesome color palette and excellent execution. Let’s move on.
Okay, jokes aside. True King is a fantastic skin. There are woefully few cheap AK skins that contain interesting artwork. Aquamarine Revenge is the first and, unfortunately, the last skin that’s currently part of the game and matches these parameters.
If True King makes it into the game too, it could definitely become the king of Classified skins for the AK-47. Also, stickers must look really badass on it.
Corruption
A skin torn in half? Wrap two of those for me please! If this trick isn’t enough on its own, there’s more. The creators of Corruption added the glowing effect to the edges of the split. Combined, it all looks truly exciting.
Let’s also give credit to the color design. A dark background with blue accents and a broken-geometry pattern in burgundy-pink tones. Instantly catches the eye.
Let’s also award the authors with some bonus points for the several color schemes they offer. There are also orange and purple skins in the Workshop, as well as items without this crazy interdimensional rupture. The guys really know how to cater to all tastes.
Marine Radar
Marine Radar contains a very plain pattern, but the idea is awesome! The skin mimics the sonar you might have often seen in movies about submarines and sea battles. Depending on the lighting, different elements of the skin will be illuminated. The nice thing is, the skin doesn’t flicker and thus doesn’t interfere with your concentration on the match.
To add to it, the center of the radar is located exceptionally well on the gun. When viewed in-game, it resembles a furious red eye. An effect that’s both terrifying and fascinating. Take a closer look, and maybe you’ll notice this evil-eyed feature of the skin too!
Cavagnole
Another skin that plays around with weapon geometry. Just like any other revolver, the R8 has a cylinder. Rich Thicca, the author of the skin, drew a curious parallel. Namely, he made the cylinder resemble a casino roulette wheel. The other elements are also in line with this casino style, like the background pattern that radiates luxury.
The only problem with this skin is that it’s the R8. No-one plays with that gun! Valve, when are you going to fix the revolver already? Dueling on Dust 2 long with it is a genuine western.
If you dug these skins, don’t forget to vote for them in the Workshop and give this post a like.
