The North American team was founded on October 25, 2013. After the proceedings, Valve announced that such behaviour had no place in their game, and decided to permanently ban players and the iBUYPOWER management, alongside with NetCodeGuides executives in Valve tournaments. Following the example of Valve, all the major tournament operators of that time also blocked the team, and the iBUYPOWER organization terminated the contract with the players. Since then they have never sponsored an eSports team.
