Spider-Man, beware: skins for the Sinister Six

Spider-Man is Marvel’s most popular superhero. He’s so popular that the teaser trailer for the upcoming movie Spider-Man: No Way Home broke the views-in-24-hours record set by The Avengers. And while we’re all waiting for the film’s release, here’s an unusual selection of skins from the CS.MONEY Blog with a loadout inspired by The Sinister Six.

The Sinister Six

Since the early 2000s, there have been a dozen Spider-Man film adaptations and as many as three reboots of the movie franchise. Thanks to Peter Parker’s continuous presence on the screens, we got to see almost all of his key enemies. And it’s exactly for them that we’re going to create our inventory.

There are two reasons for this. First, Spider-Man doesn’t use weapons. He is a convinced pacifist, so it’s almost impossible to imagine him with a gun. Second, Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature villains from other universes, meaning there will be a whole team of nemeses for the protagonist to fight.

Speaking of teams. In the comic books, Spider-Man’s enemies banded together from time to time. Most often, it was the Sinister Six. Its lineup varied from issue to issue, but only slightly. We relied on the lineup which includes all the villains from the movies and picked some amazing skins for these bad guys. Let’s roll!

Green Goblin — Karambit Gamma Doppler Emerald

Green Goblin

The Green Goblin, portrayed by Willem Dafoe, appeared in the 2002 film adaptation and forever struck a chord with fans of Sam Raimi’s trilogy. The stylish steel glider, emerald suit, and golden eyes all contributed to a truly memorable look.

The only problem is, the Green Goblin isn’t a frequent guest in The Sinister Six. Instead, it’s the Hobgoblin who hangs out with those guys. Luckily, Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 features the Green Goblin’s mask, so we can safely consider the villain from the movie part of The Sinister Six.

Among CS:GO skins, the Green Goblin would definitely pick Karambit Gamma Doppler Emerald. First, the intense green color is immediately evocative of the villain’s outfit. Second, the glider in the movie was also equipped with curved blades. Too bad they weren’t green.

Doctor Octopus — Driver Gloves Rezan the Red

Doctor Octopus

In comic books and games, Doctor Octopus looks a bit like comic relief. The green suit with yellow shoes and the weird haircut — a character looking like this is a perfect target for Parker’s famous jokes.

In the adaptation, Otto Günther Octavius (that’s his real name) has a much more convincing look. The hat, coat, and burgundy jumpsuit look more like a cosplay of a 30s mobster than the getup of an overgrown child.

Unfortunately, the movies didn’t pay any particular attention to Otto’s gloves. And we fixed that. The burgundy-black Driver Gloves Rezan the Red fit perfectly into Dr. Octopus’ look, rendering it complete.

Vulture — AK-47 Jaguar

Vulture

Another one of Spider-Man’s nemeses. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, he was played by Michael Keaton. Just like Doctor Octopus, Vulture lost his original appearance when he moved to the screens.

Instead of an old bald man in a suit with green feathers, we saw an ordinary-looking man in practical clothes: a warm jacket with a collar and tight pants, just what the doctor ordered for high altitude flights. His ears are protected from hypothermia by a badass helmet with spectacularly glowing green “eyes”.

What would behoove this villain is an AK-47 Jaguar with brown wooden elements and green base. In the movie, he did wield guns, albeit alien ones. Bonus points for jaguar’s glowing eyes, even though it’s just a red dot.

Electro — AWP Electric Hive

Electro

The antagonist from The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro will also show up in the upcoming blockbuster. In the comic books, he has a green-and-gold suit, just like the three villains we mentioned above. In the film adaptation, his look is much cooler. It was actually the villain’s appearance that changed the most, not his outfit.

After the accident, the character’s skin turned light blue, with orange and red spots clearly visible on it. His veins swell and bear a remote resemblance to a grid. Electro from the movie wears a simpler outfit — a dark hoodie and dark pants.

When we were looking for a skin to give to Electro, we didn’t have to think much — AWP Electric Hive looks perfect. The skin is dark, and its hexagonal pattern is executed in various shades, from purple to orange.

Sandman — M4A4 Desert-Strike

Sandman

Flint Marko (born William Baker) who subsequently became Sandman, fought Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3, where he was a fugitive criminal who’d accidentally received the ability to control sand. His appearance is almost the same as that in the comics: a black-and-green T-shirt and pants.

We made our choice simple and settled on M4A4 Desert-Strike. The item nicely combines dark khaki shades and elements. Decorate this beauty with a couple of green stickers like Viggo (Holo) or Web Stuck (Holo) — and your M4 will be nothing short of mesmerizing!

Mysterio — Desert Eagle Emerald Jörmungandr

Mysterio

The last member of the Sinister Six. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mysterio is played by Jake Gyllenhaal and looks surprisingly similar to the character’s original version from the comics. The only detail that’s new is the golden breastplate — in the comic books, Mysterio didn’t normally wear this piece of armor. Everything else, however, was reproduced rather accurately.

Desert Eagle Emerald Jörmungandr is the ultimate pick for illusionist and trickster Mysterio. Shades of green, intricate hypnotizing patterns, and a mythological backdrop — this description fits both the weapon finish and Mysterio.

Spider-Man — Gold Web (Foil)

Spider-Man

Since we’re talking about the Sinister Six, we can’t but mention Spider-Man himself. You’ll remember that Peter Parker stands against violence and rejects weapons, so looking for a skin that would suit him seems a rather strange idea. So we searched for stickers instead — and found a great option: Gold Web (Foil) will make a fantastic addition to your favorite gun.

You must’ve noticed that this selection doesn’t include arguably the most important foe Spider-Man’s ever had — Venom! We decided to let you select a weapon finish for this villain on your own, so share your ideas in the comments. We can’t wait to see your skin pick for the alien symbiote.
