Prisma Sequel One Year Later

3896

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has but few sequel cases. Prisma 2 is one of them. Today, the CS.MONEY blog is going to seriously look into what’s going on with the case one year later.

Anime & doggies

Unlike the first case, Prisma 2 has top-of-the-line skins for meta guns. Glock-18 Bullet Queen, AK-47 Phantom Disruptor, MAC-10 Disco Tech, and MAG-7 Justice — these are all guns you pick on a regular basis. Only M4A1-S Player Two is an outlier in this regard: the silenced M4A4 is much less popular.

Nevertheless, this skin is the most badass! It’s chock-full of references, subtle details, and all sorts of stylish elements. This skin has only one flaw. It’s so cool that you wouldn’t want to apply stickers to it. Incidentally, the M4A1-S is undeservedly forgotten. We have a blog post comparing the two defense guns — and the gap between them isn’t catastrophic.

Double strike by 2Minds

Two skins from 2Minds studio made it to the case at once: Glock-18 Bullet Queen and MAG-7 Justice. And yet again, they are at the very top, just like it was in the first Prisma case. Vibrant and cool skins, one in a Tarot style and the other somewhat evocative of graffiti. In a nutshell: the usual greatness.

We could tell more curious things about skins by this studio, but why on earth? Better to let the artists tell everything through their works. Luckily, we have an interview with 2Minds on our blog — follow this link and check out what the creators of fantabulous CS skins have to say.

First (Holo) — almost

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has featured ordinary skins for eternity now. The dev team used to avoid uncommon solutions. No optical illusions, no holographic effects. But then, their views changed for the better, enabling eye-catching and unusual skins to appear in the game.

One of these skins was MAC-10 Disco Tech. It’s not due to a cool drawing that the fully holographic attack skin stands out. Instead, it just shimmers in the light — and in a mesmerizing way at that! This is by far the best skin for holographic stickers. Stickers like Fire in the Hole (Holo) look stunning on it.

The icing on the cake for fans of the (Holo) effect was the price. A copy of this skin in good condition costs less than ten bucks. If you’re into rushing B, it’s an absolute must for your inventory.

Colorful, insane, and rapidly cheap

While the top skins in the first Prisma case were for non-meta guns, in the sequel case, they were now pre-top skins. Sawed-Off, SCAR-20, SSG 08, and P2000 aren’t the most popular guns. But they received some nice skins along with the Prisma 2 case.

However, the most exciting story is associated with SG 553 Darkwing. By the time the skin appeared in the game, the gun had already been nerfed, but it was still part of the meta. However, after just ten days, Valve practically “destroyed” SG 553 by significantly degrading its parameters.

In less than two weeks, the price of SG 553 Darkwing dropped from fifty bucks to five. Perhaps the rapidness with which this skin fell out of grace can be compared to the rating of ENCE after Aleksib was kicked.

4 knives — again

Knives are a good place to finish the story of Prisma 2. There were four knives and six patterns in the Prisma case. Neither the knives nor the patterns have changed over the year. In terms of rare drops, Prisma 2 was not one bit different from the first case. No kudos here — rather, contrariwise.

Prisma 2 was better than its predecessor. It featured a lot of good skins for meta guns. At the same time, the price tag was — and still is — rather purse-friendly. You can buy an awesome AK-47 Phantom Disruptor for less than 20 bucks, with the fantastic MAC-10 Disco Tech and MAG-7 Justice being even cheaper.

It’s been over a year since the Prisma 2 case was released. Now is the perfect time to stock up on some skins from it. The prices have settled long ago, and buying another meta gun now doesn’t come with a 90% risk of losing its value in a week. The best way to buy skins is from us — make sure you visit CS.MONEY after you give this post a like. And that concludes the CS.MONEY blog nostalgia session. See you tomorrow!
