When you have an extra hundred bucks, you can buy a knife — or maybe some device used by pros. Alternatively, you could use the money to upgrade your skins for all the meta guns and get some awesome gear. Check out this skin collection worth $125 from the CS.MONEY Blog.
USP-S Monster Mashup
Like most Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players, we prefer the USP-S to all other standard CT pistols. It’s hard to imagine a more rewarding feeling than the one you get after a couple of USP one-taps in a pistol round. Among the skins for this pistol, we opted for the USP-S Monster Mashup.
This is a great choice from the relatively-new weapon finishes: it dropped along with Operation Broken Fang and looks awesome so far. The best value for money is the USP-S Monster Mashup in Minimal Wear condition. It’s a good option in the under-$20 category.
Glock-18 Neo-Noir
There’s only one standard T pistol, but there are plenty of chic skins for it. We had a hard time choosing from a dozen of gorgeous models. Eventually, we decided on the now-classic Glock-18 Neo-Noir.
The Neo-Noir skin series includes four guns, and each one is genuine eye candy. The Glock-18 Neo-Noir makes a splendid addition to this quartet. The color palette consists of black, gray, and shades of purple. This finish is quite resilient to float growth and looks brilliant in Minimal Wear and Field-Tested conditions alike. A great opportunity to save money on your purchase!
Desert Eagle Midnight Storm
While the previous two items come from recent collections, this one is significantly older. The Desert Eagle Midnight Storm was added to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as part of The Rising Sun Collection. And the latter was released back in May 2015!
However, the Desert Eagle Midnight Storm has aged unbelievably well in terms of its appearance. Especially if you’re a fan of oriental culture. The stylish picture is evocative of The Great Wave off Kanagawa woodblock print.
Unfortunately, this skin quickly gets scratches as the float grows, so we suggest picking the Minimal Wear variant — or even a Factory New copy. Oddly enough, the Field-Tested version is the worst value for money in this case: the price tag doesn’t match up in the slightest to the number of scratches.
AK-47 Legion of Anubis
Alright, we’re done rummaging through old stuff — let’s get back to modernity. Many truly badass AK-47 skins have appeared recently. Nightwish, Leet Museo, and Legion of Anubis are all fantastic designs at relatively affordable prices. We settled on the last one.
Legion of Anubis offers a lot of advantages. This finish is inexpensive and features great artwork devoted to a rare theme. On top of that, the finish tolerates the growth float relatively well. Bottom line, a solid medium option among the AK-47s. As for the float, we recommend the medium condition, too. This skin looks good in Field-Tested condition and almost flawless in Minimal Wear.
M4A1-S Player Two
The map Train has popped up several times in connection with skins. Artists have turned a gun into a train car — or placed a dog image on a shotgun. The M4A1-S Player Two is chock-full of references, including the aforementioned map. You can find the famous white puppy on the bottom of the magazine. By the way, if you’re into Easter eggs, be sure to check out our set of skins with references.
The M4A1-S Player Two isn’t exactly the cheapest skin for this rifle. To fit within the budget of today’s selection, we settled on the Field-Tested specimen. Luckily, the scratches first appear on the fore-end, so they aren’t visible and don’t interfere with the crucial elements of the pattern.
AWP Hyper Beast
The last item on today’s $125 list is the AWP Hyper Beast, part of the the Falchion case. This gun look has an interesting feature. As the float grows, the scratches ‘devour’ the entire background of the pattern. We dig this feature, so much so that it was exactly the reason why we chose this skin for the selection.
The AWP Hyper Beast looks most curious in Field-Tested condition. The paint on the scope, barrel, and magazine is gone due to wear and tear. These parts are simply dark, like on your generic AWP. Besides, there are scratches on the buttstock. The body of the gun, on the other hand, retains the pattern perfectly. As a result, the skin isn’t inferior appearance-wise to its Factory New counterpart. We highly recommend it.
We wanted this selection to be a set of beautiful, relatively new, and not-too-expensive skins. And we met our goal. If you want to refresh your inventory, this is a great starter pack for flaunting your impeccable taste in front of teammates.
