Easter Eggs and references have a strong presence not only in video games. This culture of hidden memes or stories also exists on skins in Counter-Strike 2. Creators very often hide some things be it images or phrases in their works. Today CS.MONEY Blog shows Easter Eggs and References on skins in CS2.

What’s Easter Egg?
Let’s start with the definitions. An Easter egg is a hidden detail or message from the creator. For example, in Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark, you can spot the image of R2D2 from the Star Wars movies on one of the pillars.
A good Easter egg is usually not instantly conspicuous, as it matches the surroundings. In addition, if you’ve discovered it, you can quickly decode its meaning. Note that an Easter egg and a reference are not one and the same, even though there’s a connection between them: an Easter egg can be part of a larger work. In the Ready Player One novel, the characters were on an actual quest for an Easter egg!
Galil AR Chatterbox
Galil AR Chatterbox has two cool details. First, a skull on its side. The jaw moves when you shoot, which looks like the skull is eating bullets. The second detail is related to the first: on the back of the gun, which is usually not visible, you can see “Feed Me” scratched into it. So Galil AR Chatterbox literally devours bullets!
AWP Capillary
All Capillary Series skins have a common hidden detail, which is best seen on this skin. AWP Capillary is decorated with a bunch of veins and capillaries, obviously. But is there blood? Yes, literally pumping into your weapon from its magazine. You can see a heart on the magazine right there, noticeable only during reloading. Top-notch Easter Egg!
Sawed-Off Analog Input
Sawed-Off Analog Input, according to the skin’s creator, was inspired by Sega Dreamcast’s black gamepad. By the way, CS2 has another skin related to a legendary computer device. FAMAS ZX Spectron was inspired by ZX Spectrum, one of the very first PCs.
Nova Wild Six
Nova Wild Six has two hidden messages. The first is scratched on the back of the weapon, under the gun sight: Great Damage. The second one is close, but on the inside of the weapon, and it says Catch a Gift. Well, a gift brought to you by a shotgun can really cause some serious damage.
MAC-10 Ensnared
MAC-10 Ensnared most likely references the Harry Potter universe. And to be precise, for the second movie/book. In one of its scenes you can see pixies, looking just like these creatures from the skin. Surely, this fits great as pixies, as well as MAC-10, burst into objects with speed and numbers.
FAMAS Crypsis
FAMAS Crypsis has a secret hiding in plain sight! At first glance, it’s just camouflage, but take a closer look and… it becomes clear that the weapon is covered with insects! These guys look like branches are called Phasmids, aka Stick Insects. The largest of them reach up to half a meter in length! And these dudes are hiding right under your nose.
AK-47 Wasteland Rebel
Fifteen years ago, Portal was still popular and the phrase “The Cake is a Lie” kept popping up here and there. No one even would get it these days, but AK-47 Wasteland Rebel may bring back memories. The thing is that the skin has “The Pizza is a Lie” on it, which is an obvious reference to Portal.
SSG 08 Necropos
Like many of today’s guests, SSG 08 Necropos has several secrets. For example, when reloading between shots, you can see how your agent literally pulls the spine out of the gun with the shutter lever. Also, you can see “Hunt them down” on the buttstock, which is not just a slogan, but a reference to a song, Hunt Them Down by Architects.
MAG-7 Seabird
Sometimes references are hidden in the description! So, MAG-7 Seabird has just one word there: Mine. Anyone who has watched Finding Nemo can immediately do the maths and recognize a reference to the noisy seagulls shouting Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! at each other!
