Karambit is one of the most expensive types of knives in Counter-Strike. People are drawn to its appearance, unique grip, and large, shiny blade. In this article, CS.MONEY Blog tells about all Karambit knives in CS2: phases, colors, prices, rarity and more!

Karambit Doppler Knives
For most knives, patterns are not just price-setters, but also something of practical significance: some combinations are really great, while others are simply okay. Still, the difference between them is generally almost unnoticeable. But with Karambit Doppler knives, the difference is significant.
CS2 players identify four phases, each has its distinct colors that clearly separate one phase from another. And it all depends on the pattern. Phase One and Phase Four look like two different knives, even though they share the same name.
Collectors also distinguish gems: three separate pattern groups where one color dominates the entire blade: Sapphire (blue), Ruby (red/ruby), and Black Pearl (black). These are the rarest combinations and are much more expensive than other phases.
Karambit Dopplers drop only from three cases: Chroma, Chroma 2, and Chroma 3.
Karambit Gamma Doppler
Gamma Doppler is not that different from the regular Doppler. Four phases with their colors and shades, but collectors highlight one gem: Emerald. Karambit Gamma Doppler Emerald is the most expensive Karambit in Counter-Strike 2. Its price starts at $8500, while Factory New options start at $13000.
All Gamma Doppler Karambits drop from two cases: Gamma Case and Gamma Case 2.
Karambits from 11 old cases
Doppler and Gamma Doppler knives are significantly different from all other Karambit knives. But here’s a catch: all other Karambit knives skins have distinct designs/visuals while no gem. We can’t unite all Karambit knives by types other than how you can get them. Thus, next we will divide Karambits based on how to obtain them or, to be more precise, from which cases they drop.
We shall start with the very first Karambits that got into CS:GO. They are available in eleven different cases. Yet, don’t be alarmed by the large number: we mean the very old three Weapon Cases, three eSports cases (2013, Winter 2013, Summer 2014), three Operation cases (Bravo, Phoenix, Vanguard), Revolver Case, and Winter Offensive Case. Revolver is the most recent here, released in 2015, so these Karambits are true rarities.
The most expensive Karambit knives that drop from these 11 cases are Crimson Web and Fade. Crimson Web is a classic and well-known design that attracts a lot of attention. Its red webbed blade look very cool. Karambit Fade attracts with its gradient fill and prestigious max purple patterns.
Slaughter and Case Hardened are considered cheaper alternatives to Crimson Web and Fade knives. Slaughter is a slightly less bright but still aggressive red knife, while Case Hardened, like Fade, heavily depends on the pattern: its price is influenced by the proportions of colors on the blade.
Among old Karambit knives, there is a whole range of knives in black and white. First, Vanilla, a simple metal blade without any design on it. Blue Steel is a dark knife with purple or dark green not-really-noticeable pieces. Night is the darkest Karambit skin, its name perfectly matches its appearance. Stained and Urban Masked are gray, inexpensive knives that can also find their admirers. Don’t forget to click the names to know how much they cost!
Among all cheap Karambits (although even here its a minimum of $450 per piece), we see woodland-camouflaged Boreal Forest, then Forest DDPAT, which differs from Boreal Forest with a darker and pixelled camouflage, also desert-themed Safari Mesh, and urban-looking Scorched.
Except for Crimson Web and Fade, knives from old cases usually have lower prices. This is not surprising because over time, Valve has allowed more vibrant skins, and knives have been affected as well.
Karambits from Chroma, Chroma 2 and Chroma 3
The Chroma Case family is our favourite when it comes to Karambits. In addition to Doppler knives, we have three more very bright blades: Marble Fade, with its iridescent appearance, looks amazing; Ultraviolet captivates with its simple combination of black and purple; and Tiger Tooth is perfect for those who love yellow palettes. Damascus Steel seems fairly basic, but here, too, you can find beautiful patterns. Finally, the cheapest Karambit knife here is Rust Coat, which may not look shiny, but that seems to be the best part of it.
Karambits from Gamma and Gamma 2
As a reminder, you can get Gamma Doppler Karambits from these cases, but we’ve got some other neat options as well. The legendary AWP Dragon Lore inspired Karambit Lore with a similar color scheme and pattern on the blade. Autotronic is an interesting sports design, combining red accents with unpainted steel. Black Laminate is an excellent choice for those who prefer totally black skins in their inventories. Also, many underestimate Karambit Freehand: its purple blade with silver pictograms is genuinely mesmerizing. Finally, Bright Water has a grey-blue camouflage on the blade and it looks nice!
There are currently 35 different types of Karambits in CS2 (we count Doppler phases separately). Since the probability of getting a knife from a case is low (like, really low, don’t do it), a more convenient alternative is to buy them at CS.MONEY Market with a handy filter system that will help you find the perfect knife without overpaying.
