There are hundreds of skins in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This makes it easy to get lost and overlook the true gems. CS.MONEY is here to talk about five cool skins you may never have seen in the game. Let’s roll!
R8 Revolver Llama Cannon
Price: around $3
The R8 Revolver could have become an alternative to Deagle, but it didn’t quite work out. Initially, the gun was too powerful, and then it was nerfed to the point of uselessness. No-one wants to use this revolver, meaning all skins for it aren’t popular either.
R8 Revolver Llama Cannon caught our eye with its masterful execution. It’s one of the game’s few skins that look even better as the float increases. A factory-new item of this revolver is simply painted blue with engraving. It’s beautiful yet familiar.
However, if you look at a minimal-wear copy, it looks completely different. It’s an almost black skin, its engraving silver-gold. An awesome item for just a few dollars. Too bad the weapon itself isn’t equally cool.
AK-47 Jet Set
Price: around $90
AK-47 Jet Set appeared in the game back in 2014 as part of The Baggage collection. Every skin in the collection explores the topic of travel and baggage. And while the leather-covered or checked skins look good, the AK-47 Jet Set is the true highlight of the collection.
It’s the best skin for stickers, as it already contains them originally. The author obviously drew inspiration from those large suitcases where tourists carry their baggage.
In addition to the leather texture of the buttstock and handguard, the artist added all sorts of souvenir stickers in droves. Nope, not the ones you can see on souvenir skins from Majors. Instead, AK-47 Jet Set has stickers with real cities: Idaho, Ottawa, and others. A fantastic skin you’ve hardly ever seen in-game.
SSG08 Mayan Dreams
Price: a little over $2
Skin from the days of Operation Bravo. Extremely rare and not expensive at all. A minimal-wear item costs just under 3 dollars. There are but a few cool skins for SSG 08, and SSG 08 Mayan Dreams is sure one of them.
This skin is great for two reasons. First, it matches the vibe of tenth operation perfectly. Especially now that there’s also a new map in the game inspired by the ruins of the Indian tribes. Second, the skin has a nice khaki color and a most curious pattern. Goes extraordinarily well with stickers. On the whole, a decent addition to a SSG 08 fan’s loadout.
Desert Eagle Pilot
Price: $50
Another old skin from The Baggage Collection. It has a very simple design with a leather grip, gold accents, and a star pattern on the side of the hull. Compared to other Deagle skins, this one looks very clean and neat.
Due to the steel-and-gold color scheme, the skin goes incredibly well with almost any Foil sticker or one in basic gold. A simple and luxurious skin — too bad it costs no less than 50 dollars.
M4A4 X-Ray
Price: just under $15
We remembered this skin due to the release of the AK-47 X-Ray. In the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, skinmakers have rarely used the idea of visible “innards.” By the way, we recently wrote about the month’s best Workshop skins, and there are a couple of other skins that involve this trick there as well, only with a transparent body. Be sure to check them out.
M4A4 X-Ray reveals the insides of the rifle. The barrel, the bullets in the magazine, the spring in the buttstock — it’s basically a visual guide to the rifle’s construction. It may not be the most beautiful skin for the M4, but it’s certainly the most unique one, and you can gaze at it for hours.
