Skin history
AK-47 | Cartel by Anders, coyote37, and Hanzo appeared in CS:GO on January 8, 2015. The skin is contained in the Chroma Case, introduced to the shooter in the “Full Spectrum” update.
Pattern features
The metal surface of the rifle is engraved with images in the style of the famous Mexican holiday El Día de Muertos, with flowers and human skulls (one in profile). On the receiver cover, there are letters R, I, and P, forming the acronym R.I.P., which stands for “Requiescat in pace” in Latin or “Rest in peace” in English. The wooden parts of the weapon have the texture of the standard Kalashnikov rifle from the game.
Effect of float
Float Value of AK-47 | Cartel can vary between 0.00 and 0.75, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. As the float value increases, the metallic surface of the weapon gradually darkens. There are no other wear marks on the gun.
Rarity and popularity
AK-47 | Cartel belongs to the “Classified” rarity grade and is available with the StatTrak kill counter. The skin is moderately popular among CS2 fans.
