Skin history
M4A4 | Howl appeared in CS:GO on May 1, 2014. It belongs to The Huntsman Collection that was introduced into the shooter in “The Hunt Begins” update. On June 11, 2014, the design of this weapon finish was changed because of the copyright infringement. Consequently, it was deleted from the Huntsman Weapon Case. Currently, this item can only be obtained by purchasing or trading.
Pattern features
The design has a fiery theme: flames can be seen on many parts of the gun, and on the receiver, they form the head of a fearsome wolf with an open mouth.
Effect of float
Float Value of M4A4 | Howl can vary between 0.00 and 0.40, allowing the skin to be obtainable in all exterior quality categories, with the exception of “Battle-Scarred.” As the weapon wears, it slightly darkens, and the paint gets erased from some of its parts. At high float values, wear marks are primarily noticeable on the magazine, pistol grip, and receiver. However, the wolf's head remains largely unaffected.
Rarity and popularity
M4A4 | Howl is the only skin that belongs to the “Contraband” rarity grade. Also, it’s obtainable with the StatTrak kill counter. Despite its popularity among CS2 players, this skin has few owners due to its limited number of copies and high cost.
