The blade and the ring at the base of the handle are painted in light and dark shades of red, making a variety of patterns. Sometimes these patterns may form figures that look like a heart, diamond, dog bone, etc.

The pattern index determines what kind of pattern will be formed. The most valuable patterns are those where the dark stripes are assembled into a diamond, as well as versions where the outlines of both the diamond and the heart are visible. Versions, where only the heart is visible, are also valuable. Less valuable are versions with a dog bone or zebra stripes.

Float Value of the item can vary between 0.00 and 0.26 – because of that, it’s not obtainable in “Well-Worn” and “Battle-Scarred” exterior qualities. As the weapon wears, the paint is gradually erased from the blade's edges. At high wear, the outer blade gets exposed considerably, and noticeable abrasions occur along the ring's edges.
