Skin history
AWP | Electric Hive appeared in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on December 18, 2013. It belongs to the eSports 2013 Winter Case that was introduced to the shooter in the “Winter Offensive” update.
Pattern features
The receiver and shoulder stock of the sniper rifle are covered with a hexagonal grid featuring a gradient color scheme.
Effect of the pattern index
The pattern index determines the coloring of the grid and how it’s applied to the gun. Enthusiasts prefer monochromatic versions of this weapon finish: blue (#273) and orange (#253).
Effect of float
Float Value of the item can vary between 0.00 and 0.40, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category, with the exception of “Battle-Scarred.” As the float value increases, the gun gradually loses its paint, starting from the edges. In the “Well-Worn” category, it loses about a quarter of all its paint, slightly disrupting the integrity of the grid.
Rarity and popularity
AWP | Electric Hive belongs to the “Classified” rarity grade and is available with the StatTrak kill counter. The skin is moderately popular among CS2 players.
