Skin history
AWP | The Prince appeared in CS:GO on November 18, 2019. The skin belongs to The Canals Collection, dedicated to the eponymous map. It was introduced to the shooter with Operation Shattered Web.
Pattern features
Most of the sniper rifle's surface is engraved with a pattern of golden stems and leaves. There’s a ribbon in the middle of the receiver with the Latin phrase, which can be translated as “Peace unto you, Mark, my Evangelist.” The exact phrase can be seen on the Venetian Lion of Saint Mark, one of the symbols of the mentioned Italian city.
Effect of float
Float Value of AWP | The Prince can vary between 0.00 and 0.60, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. As the weapon wears, its paint darkens and gets partially erased. At high float values, the gun becomes dark, and all the paint from its barrel and scope disappears, except for the beige ornaments.
Rarity and popularity
AWP | The Prince belongs to the “Covert” rarity grade and is not available in either the souvenir or StatTrak versions. The skin is moderately popular among CS2 players.
