CS:GO has recently received an update featuring new stickers celebrating PGL Major Antwerp. Today, the CS.MONEY blog is going to tell you about 8 rare and expensive stickers that are part of the game.
Vox Eminor Katowice 2014
The Australian team attended 3 Majors, but by far the rarest are the team’s stickers from EMS One Katowice 2014. At the time, the lineup included Aaron “AZR” Ward, Luke “Havoc” Paton, Iain “SnypeR” Turner, would-be analyst Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, and Azad “topguN” Orami. Even though the club hasn’t reached any significant heights later on, stickers with their extravagant logo are priced at $770 at least.
Clan-Mystik Katowice 2014
Unlike the Aussies, the French Clan-Mystik only participated in EMS One Katowice 2014, which renders their stickers no less rare. The club ranked only 9–12, their lineup consisting at the time of: Michael “HaRts” Zanatta, Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey, Robin “GMX” Stahmer, Gordon “Sf” Giry. The sniper’s role was subsequently assumed by one of the best AWPers in history, Kenny “kennyS” Schrub. The team’s stickers are worth over $620.
Planetkey Dynamics DreamHack 2014
The Germans from Planetkey enjoyed getting their only sticker in November 2014. After losing to the Swedes from NIP and the Poles from ESC, they left the event with the following lineup: Tobias “Troubley” Tabbert, Hendrik “strux1” Goetzendorff, Dimitrios “stavros” Smoilis, Alexander “alexRr” Frisch, and Johannes “nex” Maget. After the failure in the Major, the squad was in for some reshuffles — eventually, only alexRr remained in the lineup. The club failed to make any further accomplishments. Their sticker isn’t exactly expensive, but it’s certainly rare: to get one of those beauties, you have to pay a trifle over $30.
Bravado Gaming DreamHack 2014
The Jencheping tournament featured a most extravagant team indeed: Bravado Gaming assembled a South African lineup of Andreas “cent” Hadjipaschali, Robby “blackpoisoN” da Loca, Dimitri “Detrony” Hadjipaschali, Richard “deviaNt” Groves, and Dane “racno” Friedman. After dropping out with last place, the team’s lineup underwent an overhaul. Bravado managed to reach the finals of Dreamhack Open Winter 2018, where they lost to the Finns from ENCE; this event was the last big one for the organization. Notably, the Hajipashali brothers — the members who attended the Major — are also the owners of Bravado. Their stickers are rare, but are only worth $25.
myXMG DreamHack 2014
Just like the previous 3 teams, the Danish Polar Bears played their first and last Major in 2014. Interestingly enough, myXMG was the place where would-be Danish stars Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen, Asger “AcilioN” Larsen and the famous captain and coach Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen all started their careers. Along them played the equally famous Danni “smF” Dyg and Michael “Friis” Jørgensen. Their departure without a single victory predetermined the team’s collapse. No other team with that tag or a similar one has ever spotted in tournaments afterwards.
Stickers with that distinctive polar bear are priced at $20.
dAT Team (Holo) Cologne 2014
Over their history, the ‘Russian Wolves’ have only appeared in one Major: ESL One Cologne 2014. After losing to Virtus.pro and iBUYPOWER, they left Cologne. Curiously, performing for the team at the time were would-be Natus Vincere player and coach Egor “flamie” Vasilyev and Andrii “B1ad3” Horodenskyi. The Holo sticker of dAT Team is pretty unusual. The fire effect makes the sticker particularly attractive on dark skins, which explains its impressive price tag of $125.
London Conspiracy (Holo) Cologne 2014
Following dAT, London Conspiracy dropped out of ESL One Cologne 2014 in like fashion. WIth 7 rounds won over 2 games, they became the tournament’s worst team, which, however, didn’t prevent them from getting the only sticker in the organization’s history. One further noteworthy thing is that in spite of its ‘British’ name, the lineup was Norwegian and included the future FaZe legend Håvard “rain” Nygaard as well as the famous pro-scene veteran Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel. The London Conspiracy Holo sticker is fantastic — thanks to its shade, it goes perfectly with the AK-47 Neon Rider and other purple skins. The item is priced at $90.
Titan Katowice 2014
The notorious Titan organization is the owner of arguably the most expensive stickers in the game. After the team’s AWPer Hovik “KQLY” Tovmassian got suspended, the Titans lost their sponsors’ trust and announced the discontinuation of their eSports activities. This, in turn, led to a serious increase in the prices of stickers devoted to an organization that will likely never return to CS:GO. Their most expensive stickers are those from the 2014 EMS One Katowice tournament, with rices for one regular copy without effects exceeding $3,000.
These were rare stickers from past Majors. Did you like the post? Check out our steampunk picks and an interview with a FURIA player. Stay tuned to CS.MONEY — your go-to source of quality content!
