Counter-Strike 2 is finally here! While the current beta is limited, and many people still don’t have access to it, CS.MONEY Blog collected first impressions of professional players and famous community members.

s1mple: “Hope you liked it because I did”

Let’s start with the best player in the world. S1mple spent some time playing CS 2 beta on stream, and he enjoyed the game:

“Hope you liked it, because I did. We need more maps, to fix some sounds… What else? Uh, that right button crosshair that you need to press twice. Maybe it is something new, of course. You know, what’s the most interesting? It is still only beta. Do you remember the CS:GO beta? Back then, everything looked much more like “beta”. I am sure we will get more updates.”

Updated graphics may bring additional value to the skins, and we know s1mple has some pretty unique weapon finishes.

Twistzz: “They managed to make CS 2 even more satisfying than CS:GO.”

The Canadian superstar is looking to win his second Grand Slam: FaZe Clan is in the finals of ESL Pro League Season 17, yet he found some time to test the CS 2. Here is his opinion:

Hobbit: “CS2 is not bad”

The Krakow Major winner and the veteran of the Counter-Strike scene also approved this new game:

“This is the first huge update in ten years. For me, it is still the same game. I played a little bit, tested it and can say that CS 2 is not bad.”

While players in Eastern Europe are known for their conservative approach, such praise is worth even more.

ropz: “Sub tick-rate doesn’t feel as good as described”

The FaZe Clan lurker brought his vision on the new sub-tick system:

“Sub tick-rate doesn’t feel as good as described, there’s obviously a difference between 64 & 128. It is the only thing which feels bad, mby it can be tweaked, it’s more like 64 than 128. Rest of the update is awesome. It feels bad to criticise that, cos seems Valve are really trying to fix the tick-rate problem, but I think pushing 128 as the norm would be the answer. But who knows maybe years from now this way will be much better and I’ll be proven wrong”

Don Hac1: “Bullet registration is near perfect”

One of the famous CS:GO Twitter personas, Don Hac1 shared his opinion about CS 2. You may also think it doesn’t contradict ropz and his feelings.

Bubzkji: “I’m sure we’ll see players fail to transmit 100% of their level to CS 2.”

A former professional player touched one interesting topic: transitioning from one version of the game to another.

Spirit’s s1ren & patsi: “Interesting but unclear.”

Team Spirit’s rifler didn’t jump on the pogchamp hype train and showed some scepticism:

Jerry: “The game feels fresh.”

The in-game leader of ForZe brought his ideas of a new version but through peculiar optics: “The game feels fresh. For me, personally, it looks more like modern games like Call of Duty or Valorant. Although I never played Valorant.”

These opinions should not be considered the ultimate truth but are still very valuable. You may also want to look at what pro players thought of CS:GO right after its initial release:

And if you have access to CS 2 and want to test how different skins look in the game, CS.MONEY is the best way to update your inventory. Intuitive interface, huge assortment and fast trades are your easy way to style up.
