With the first two months of 2023 already over, some teams managed to get into a competitive rhythm, while others are yet to finalize their rosters. Anyways, the CS:GO esports season is on, meaning many interesting matches and tournaments are waiting ahead. CS.MONEY Blog has prepared a memo in which we highlighted the best CS:GO tournaments of 2023.
ESL Pro League
Let’s talk about the next big CS:GO tournament. More precisely, the word “next” is not quite appropriate here since the competition is already ongoing. Thirty-two top teams fight for over a month in one of the most prestigious CS GO tournaments. The champion will receive a ticket to BLAST Premier World Finals and IEM Cologne (we will write about both events below).
So far, it’s the Group Stage of ESL Pro League 2023. The main event will arrive in a couple of weeks, starting March 20 until March 26.
BLAST.tv Paris Major
Majors always stand out in the competitive hierarchy, as these are the top CS:GO tournaments in the world. As usual, we expect two majors this year, but since there is not much information about the autumn tournament yet, we should focus now on the spring one.
BLAST.tv Paris Major will be held in the French capital from May 8 to 21. For the first time, the Danish tournament organizer received the rights to host CS:GO major tournaments (finally, after years of producing the best csgo events). Many viewers consider BLAST unrivalled in terms of broadcasting and organizing. The French government is also interested in a successful event, by the way. We don’t know what the outcome will be, but, on paper, everything looks delicious.
Major qualifiers will start in early April, so we don’t have to wait much.
IEM Cologne 2023
If we take into account the most prestigious CS:GO LAN tournament, which is both not a major and a standalone competition, it is undoubtedly IEM Cologne. Historically, one of the most popular and important CS:GO tournaments and 2023 won’t be an exception.
The summer’s main event will be held from July 25 to August 6 in Cologne, Germany. Of the 24 potential participants, only one name is known for sure: G2 Esports won a ticket to Germany by lifting the trophy of IEM Katowice. At the same time, we have no doubts that the main CS:GO summer tournament will be exciting.
BLAST Premier World Finals
Once again discarding Majors (they have a special status due to Valve’s approval), BLAST Premier is the largest CS:GO tournament, which goes on throughout the year. This long and epic journey concludes in December. Eight strongest teams at the end of the year will determine the best of the best. So far, no team has earned a quota for this prestigious competition, so all the highlights are still ahead. And also, BLAST might have the biggest prize pool of this year!
ESL Impact League
Finally, we can’t be silent about female Counter-Strike. The girls also have big CS GO tournaments this year. The third and fourth seasons of the ESL Impact League will bring together eight of the strongest teams in Dallas and Hanover, respectively. The main events will take place in early June and mid-December, but we are sure that athletes are already training hard since tough qualifiers await them.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive continues gaining momentum, and we are waiting for many exciting battles this year. If you can’t wait and want to log in to the server, you can buy skins from a brand-new Revolution case on our Market!
