How to Play Danger Zone in CS2
A fan-made mod has brought Danger Zone back to Counter-Strike 2, complete with its signature large-scale battle royale gameplay. To give it a try, head to the mod website and pick one of the available servers.
The game will then prompt you to download one of the supported maps: Blacksite, Sirocco, or Junglety. If you would rather avoid downloading the map when connecting for the first time, you can grab Blacksite directly from the Steam Workshop. There is also already a first Twitch stream showing the mod in action.
What State Is Danger Zone in CS2?
The mod is currently in beta, so there is still plenty of work to do. The developers plan to fine-tune the weapons and add more features, including a leaderboard.
For now, it should be treated as a community-made way to revisit Danger Zone rather than a full replacement for the original mode.
When Will Danger Zone Officially Return to CS2?
The short answer is: we do not know. Dataminers have found various hints pointing to Danger Zone in the game’s code, but Valve has not officially confirmed that the mode is coming back.
It is also possible that Danger Zone is not included in CS2 plans at all. For players looking to relive their Blacksite nostalgia, community projects like this one may be the only option for the foreseeable future.
