What is The Armory Battle Pass?
The Armory is a major update that includes a Battle Pass and a new shop with in-game items. We talked about the update in detail in a separate post. As with Operations, the shop in The Armory isn’t that simple. You can’t just spend money on everything you want, as instead, you use the in-game currency called Armory Credits.
Armory Credits can be spent on:
- One Limited Edition Desert Eagle skin
- One random charm from two Collections
- One random sticker from two Collections
- One Gallery Case
- One random skin from one of three new collections: Graphic, Sport and Field or Overpass 2024
To gain access to Credits, you need to purchase The Armory Battle Pass. It costs $16. When you purchase a Battle Pass, you immediately get one Credit, and you can earn another 39 by playing CS2. You can’t buy Credits directly.
How many battle passes can I buy?
Unlike many other games, in Counter-Strike 2 you can buy more than one Battle Pass. In total, you can purchase and simultaneously activate up to five Battle Passes! Each has a separate progression and brings stars/credits. If you own one Battle Pass, you can have only 40 credits, but if you purchase 3 BPs at once, the limit will be three times higher, namely 120! When buying five BPs, you can collect up to 200 credits in total.
Chances to get skins from new CS2 Collections (in %)
Unlike the previous ones, such as the Anubis Collection, the new CS2 Collections have reduced the number of skin rarities. Instead of six, it’s now five. This has affected the chances of getting skins of different rarity types. Before, the odds of getting a Covert skin was about 1 in 4000, ten times harder than getting a knife out of a case, now the chances are as follows:
- Covert – 0,13%
- Classified – 0,66%
- Restricted – 3,3%
- Mil-Spec – 16,53%
- Industrial – 79,37%
Thus, the odds to drop a Covert skin is 1 in 768, and for Restricted it’s already 1 in 29. Note that this only applies to new Collections! For a new Gallery Case, the chances of getting a knife or rare skins have not changed.
How to level up The Armory Battle Pass?
If you want to level up your BP and get Credits, you just need to earn experience. In CS2, EXP is given for playing the game, regardless of the mode. It’s important that the amount of experience gained doesn’t change for BP. In other words, no bonuses or penalties affect the amount. EXP for BP is awarded for all active Battle Passes at once, meaning, if you have five active, all five will be upgraded during your games.
How to Quickly Earn Stars/Credits in CS2 Armory Battle Pass?
To quickly farm stars/credits from leveling up the Battle Pass in CS2, you need to earn experience as fast as possible. Although this can be done in any game mode, the fastest possible way to get stars/credits is simply playing Competitive or Premier modes. For two reasons. First, playing these modes brings the most experience. Second, playing Casual in CS2? Really? Premier and Competitive modes are the most popular and therefore you’ll find matches way faster. Quick game search means higher experience farming speed. Simple!
What to spend stars/credits on?
In The Armory Pass shop you can spend the stars/credits you have collected. Namely:
- Gallery Case for 2 Credits
- Random Charm for 3 Credits
- Random Skin from Collections for 4 Credits
- Random Sticker for 1 Credit
- Limited Desert Eagle Heat Treated for 25 Credits
Let’s start with the main thing: Desert Eagle Heat Treated is available for purchase over the next hundred days. If you like it, it’s worth spending credits on. The rest of the items in the store will most likely also be limited. So you can spend it on what you like.
If you consider spending credits as an investment, then you should take a closer look at the Sport and Field Collection. M4A1-S Fade is a beautiful skin for a meta weapon. Most likely, it will cost from $1000 and more.
Keychains/Charms have become one of the new features of this update. These funny accessories can be attached to almost any place on your skins. You can see all the keychains/chamrs and learn how they work in our article with all the keychains from The Armory. Don’t miss it!
