Counter-Strike 2 is not just about matchmaking and esports. The community works tirelessly to ensure Valve’s FPS game never becomes boring, and one of the main tools is the Steam Workshop. Today, CS.MONEY Blog will showcase the best maps from the CS2 Workshop.
We will divide the top workshop maps into three categories: those that help you play better, those that can serve as a break from the competitive map pool, and experimental ones, where people let their imaginations run wild.
Besides maps, another important aspect of the game is skins. Good skins will definitely keep you from getting bored, and you can buy them at a good price on CS.MONEY! And if, for some reason, you’re bored with your skins, still visit us—we’ll gladly help you easily refresh your inventory!
How to launch workshop maps in CS2?
The instructions are very simple:
- Subscribe to a map in the Workshop (you need to be logged into Steam for this).
- Launch Counter-Strike 2.
- In the game menu, instead of matchmaking, choose Workshop Maps and launch one. All the maps you are subscribed to will be displayed there.
crashz’ Crosshair Generator v4
Let’s start with a map that hardly needs an introduction. Even though the CS2 settings menu is now convenient enough to create a good crosshair, many still use Crosshair Generator v4 out of habit. The advantages are obvious: you can see directly in the game how the crosshair changes with each setting, and you can also shoot at bots to understand how well your settings work.
crashz’ Viewmodel Generator CS2
While the crosshair can still be adjusted in the main menu, Viewmodel is better configured on a custom map. Many people use default settings, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but different people’s brains perceive game areas and weapon angles differently. So it’s definitely worth entering at least once to test various options.
Aim Botz – Aim Training (CS2)
If crashz is associated with CS2 configuration, then uLLeticaL’s maps are synonymous with warm-ups. The vast majority of professional players start their sessions with this or similar maps. Besides that, it’s also a good way to simply improve your aim.
Recoil Master – Spray Training (CS2)
An important map for CS2 beginners. Every weapon in the game has its own recoil, which follows a specific pattern. Professionals and experienced players know these patterns thoroughly, but beginners might struggle. Spray control is a vital skill in the game, and it can be practised on this map.
Memento (Wingman)
Moving on to a beauty that has pleased over 50,000 players. Memento is set in Italy on a lakeside. Everything is ready for a wedding celebration, but unfortunately for the newlyweds, a two-on-two competition will take place here. A very picturesque map for Wingman mode, and we would like to see in the main game pool in the future.
Aim Centro (CS2)
From a map with a classic mode, let’s move to good old Aim maps. They are small, with no room for strategy, only shooting and movement. By default, you’re given an AK-47 and a Desert Eagle, so all you need is to shoot your opponent without extra thoughts.
AIM Headshot
Some players might feel nostalgic now, but aim_headshot is one of the most popular aim maps since Counter-Strike 1.6. This map has been adapted for Counter-Strike 2, but the old-school spirit remains everywhere: it’s still somewhere near Aztec or Ancient. In short, an ageless classic.
De_All_Maps_in_One (from NadeKing’s video)
The section of experimental maps opens NadeKing and tomo2515x’s De_All_Maps_in_One with an interesting concept. What if Mirage were transferred into the setting of other competitive maps? This Frankenstein, where various passages and points are made using textures from the competitive map pool, answers this question. Surely an unusual experience.
Insertion2
Insertion is a map based on a real scenario. Terrorists hold hostages in a house in the middle of the map, and they don’t know from which side to expect an attack, as counter-terrorists can choose their insertion point at the start of the round. This may be what Rainbow Six Siege would look like without all the meticulousness.
Minecraft Hunger Games
Finally, let’s talk about a map that goes completely beyond established concepts. Workshop enthusiasts decided to recreate Minecraft in Counter-Strike 2. Every block here can be destroyed, and it’s a very unusual map. The only thing is, you better have a top-notch computer because the hardware load is significant, and the frame rate will be low—trade-offs of the concept.
These ten CS2 workshop maps are just a drop in the ocean of community creativity, and finding a gem can sometimes be challenging. The same goes for skins, except CS.MONEY filters allow you to find the perfect skin quickly and accurately. Follow the link and see for yourself!
