But seriously, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is really a very deep game, which can take hundreds of hours to complete, and you still will not reveal some secrets and may not notice small details.
Today we will tell you about the top 10 Easter eggs of the Witcher 3, which you may not know about, even if you have already done with the game.
Skellige’s ghost ship
The Ghostship appears in the waters of Skellige every night, but only for a short period of time. It is not easy to catch it “just like that” and due to that reason, the Easter egg remained unsolved for a couple of years.
How and when to find the ship: after one o’clock in the morning between the Islands of An Skellig and Hindarsfjall, here is the exact location on the minimap.
Аfter зlaying four hundred hours of Wild Hunt and scouring the entire Skellige archipelago, I personally never came across this ship until I set myself a specific goal.
When I met the ship myself, I tried several times to interact with it, but in vain… The Ghost ship just exists, and you can’t do anything with it.
The murderous rabbit of Benek
Traveling through the endless swamps of Velen sooner or later you run into the village Benek. Not far from the village you will find a cave, at the entrance of which sits a white rabbit.
A harmless, cute creature with skulls, bones, body parts, and pools of blood scattered around it.
Rabbit is a reference to the old movie “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”.
Perhaps you are too young and have never seen this brilliant comedy released in 1975, but there will be time – be sure to look. You won’t regret it!

Sacred cows of the White Orchard
Ah, my favorite! When you start a game, there are often problems with money and resources, especially when it comes to high levels of difficulty.
Farm cows, farm dogs, farm everything you see – that’s how it happens. But…
An ideal place for a farm – cows in the White Orchard village. Only if you kill them three times in a row, the village will immediately be visited by a level 27 Chort.
What a surprise. Being a Geralt of the 4th or 5th level, you will definitely not be able to handle it.
Whoops.
Let’s add a little more context: in the CCG “Gwent” there is a weak card of cow, destroying which the Chort appears on the battlefield.
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit Easter egg
While walking in Novigrad, you may come across a dwarf who will tell you “Just try calling me Baggins!”
Quentin Tarantino in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Two references = two movies.
The first Easter egg connects us with the movie”Kill Bill”. In Novigrad, one of the main quests will be the storyline of the blacksmith Éibhear Hattori, who will offer you to create a “sword that can kill a God”. Both the blacksmith’s surname and his history refer to the legendary Japanese blacksmith Hattori Hanzo, who created magnificent samurai swords.
Both Éibhear and Hanzo’s retired and gone into the culinary arts.
The second Easter egg is associated with the “Pulp fiction.” Going down to the basement of the Bloody Baron’s castle in Crow’s Perch, opposite the stairs you will see two of the Baron’s men.

The statues look alive!
How can it be without a reference to the series “Doctor Who”? In the cemetery at one of the chapels in Velen (near the Lindenvale village), you can see two statues. While Geralt is in the cemetery, the statues will move by themselves.

Schrödinger’s cat
In the course of the quest “Games of cats and wolves”, in Gaetan’s hiding place, you can find his diary, which describes a certain Witcher Schrödinger, who may or may not be alive.
Grumpy dwarves of Novigrad
One of the phrases of the dwarves in Novigrad is the reference to the actor who played the role of Tyrion Lannister in “Game of Thrones”. They just ask not to call them Peter Dinklage, not that much huh?
