Today on the menu are some skins straight from hell and the first entries in Valve’s art contest Dreams & Nightmares. The CS.MONEY Blog is your today’s guide through the Steam Workshop.
Sawed-off | Demoniak (Nightmare)
The skin is executed in desert colors. The silhouette of the mystical monster, created with the use of 3D models, looks great in your hand. I think everyone’d like to play with this Sawed-Off at least once.
“Forged in hell to eat the souls of those who dare to dream….” says the author about his creation. This eye-catching Sawed-Off finish may well popularize the shotgun itself.
MAC10 | Pale sun
This MAC-10 is executed in dark shades and features a silhouette of some scary face. The finish looks fantastic in-game. Besides, this design fits perfectly into the concept of an art contest.
At the end of July, Valve announced the Dreams & Nightmares art contest, and today, we can see the first entries.
AK-47 | lycanthrope
The silhouette of a night monster stretches over the entirety of this AK-47 and bears a distant resemblance to a wolf. The red and black tones as well as the fire texture render the skin truly menacing.
The author created this version of the AK-47 specifically for the art contest from Valve.
USP-S | Devil
Another hellish skin in our selection. The name of this USP-S accurately captures its essence. The author did a great job developing those subtle details and added various references to Satanic symbolism, notably the “SATAN” and “DIE DIE DIE” inscriptions and lots of references to the three sixes.
It would be a nice touch if the amount of lettering changed as the quality deteriorated. This skin wouldn’t have passed the censorship in China.
MP9 | Elf warrior
Let’s finish today’s selection with a skin executed in a completely different style. The gun is painted in vibrant, toxic colors, with the picture in pink, white, and green depicting a beautiful elf. At close inspection, the skin is not quite what it first seemed to be.
MP9 | Elf Warrior is a finish that looks nice from a distance and astonishes you with its elaboration when you look at it closely.
That’s all. If you dug the skins, make sure you vote for them in the Workshop and give this post a like. Tell us in the comments what skin from the collection you liked the most. Also, spread the word to your friends: more votes in the Workshop mean a better chance that Valve will note the skin and add it in a future update.
