Valve, please fix! What should be changed in the skins?

4038

A combination of name tags, StatTrak counter, and various stickers can make skins unique, but their location on the weapon plays an important role, and unfortunately, it cannot be changed. For all those features the devs created fixed slots, which sometimes can seriously spoil the skin’s appeal. In this article, we put together examples that make us wanna say “Valve, please fix!”. Therefore, today on the CS.MONEY blog we will analyze the most unsuccessful and funny of them.

FAMAS Issues

Stickers are applied to specific parts of the weapon. On FAMAS, the third slot cuts off part of the sticker. For example, the iBUYPOWER logo loses the fangs and looks incomplete. The name tag above the fourth slot also spoils the sticker by overlapping its top.

Unsuccessful nametags

On some pistols, the name tag is the main sticker spoiler! On CZ75-Auto, USP-S and Tec-9 it partially or completely overlaps stickers turning a craft into a mess. However, on Glock-18 and other pistols, the name tag is located on the handle and it’s ok.

AUG combines all of the disadvantages mentioned above. The shutter splits the first sticker, the StatTrak counter is on top of it and the name tag crosses the third sticker in the middle. Unlike pistols, such flaws cannot be justified by a lack of space!

Sawed-Off is not the most popular shotgun, and the location of the name tag here is definitely not the best. Here it overlaps two stickers at once! We have to make a choice again – apply a sticker or rename the skin? The kill counter’s location is not the best either.

When is it better without StatTrak

StatTrak skins for M4A1-S are very popular with players. This is the main rifle, which is used to make most kills in the match. But for the sake of tracking statistics, you will have to sacrifice the appearance of the third sticker, the upper part of which is overlapped again.

Some skins may well do without stickers, but the bad location of the StatTrak counter can interfere with their design. For example, on the popular Player Two, the counter covers half of the character’s face. If it were possible to move it to another part of the rifle, then many skins would only benefit from this!

Fade also came under attack

On knives, neumteg is usually applied to the handle, where it looks quite appropriate. In 2019, Classic Knife appeared in the game and the developers changed traditions – the label appears on the top “game” side of the blade! This spoils the beauty of such bright skins as Fade.

On the above-mentioned weapons, you can reject the name tag in favor of a sticker or vice versa, but MAC-10 is a special case. The slot on the handle is considered the most unpopular, but inspecting it in-game, the sticker is always covered with a finger! It makes sense to buy and apply it here only if you plan to admire your crafts in the main menu.

CS:GO has a wide range of customization options. StatTrak, stickers, and name tags can help you make a skin really unique. But limitations force players to use only fixed slots, which sometimes severely spoils the weapon’s appearance. The problem will only disappear if the devs add the opportunity to move them freely. So, Valve, please fix!
