Fade skins are among the oldest in Counter-Strike. They were introduced early on and Valve continues to release new “gradient” styles to this day. The CS.MONEY Blog takes a look at Fade skins in CS2 and highlights some of the cheaper options.

MP7 Fade

- Rarity: Restricted
- Collection: The 2018 Inferno
- Price: $3 – $5
Купить MP7 Fade Minimal Wear за $3 на CS.MONEY
The MP7 Fade has a unique trait among Fade skins: it’s not limited to Factory New or Minimal Wear conditions. Still, we recommend Minimal Wear as the best balance between price and appearance.
R8 Revolver Fade

- Rarity: Covert
- Collection: The Revolver
- Price: $9 – $14
Buy R8 Revolver Fade Minimal Wear for $8 on CS.MONEY
The only Covert-grade skin for the R8. As expected, that makes it the most expensive R8 skin out there. However, if you want a Fade skin just for collection, this one is cheap compared to other guns.
MAC-10 Fade

- Rarity: Mil-Spec
- Collection: The Chop Shop
- Price: $40 – $55
Buy MAC-10 Fade Factory New for $40 on CS.MONEY
Only the upper part of the MAC-10 is covered by the gradient. The result is a “brick” that transitions from yellow to purple — and it shines beautifully under the bright CS2 lighting.
M4A1-S Fade

- Rarity: Covert
- Collection: The Sport & Field
- Price: $380 – $420
Buy M4A1-S Fade Factory New for $400 on CS.MONEY
One of the newest additions to the Fade family, the M4A1-S Fade stretches the full gradient thanks to the rifle’s long silhouette — from vibrant gold to deep purple. Look for patterns that are as close to 100% Fade as possible.
UMP-45 Fade

- Rarity: Classified
- Collection: The 2021 Dust 2
- Price: $525 – $650
Buy UMP-45 Fade Factory New for $535 on CS.MONEY
This UMP-45 skin is used in trade-up contracts to get the one and only “golden AK” — the AK-47 Gold Arabesque. That utility makes the skin more expensive. If you want to get one, Factory New is the way to go.
AWP Fade

- Rarity: Covert
- Collection: The Control
- Price: $860 – $930
Buy AWP Fade Factory New for $900 on CS.MONEY
Like the M4A1-S, the AWP has enough surface area to showcase the full gradient beautifully. However, it lacks “silver” zones, so your choice of pattern will influence the balance of gold, pink, and purple tones.
Huntsman Knife Fade

Price: $400 – $450
Buy Huntsman Knife Fade Factory New for $400 on CS.MONEY
There are tons of gradient knives in CS2, since the Fade finish is available for nearly every blade. If you’re unsure which to get, we recommend the Huntsman Knife Fade — its broad blade makes the gradient really stand out.
Specialist Gloves Fade

Price: $185 – $3200
Buy Specialist Gloves Fade Field-tested for $385 on CS.MONEY
Unlike knives, glove gradients are limited to just two types: regular and marble. We suggest grabbing a pair of Specialist Gloves Fade with a float value around 0.2 — the perfect middle ground between price and appearance.
Are There AK-47 or Desert Eagle Fade Skins?
Fade skins have been consistently added to CS over the last decade. It’s unlikely that Valve will stop releasing them, so AK-47 Fade or Desert Eagle Fade skins might appear in the future, but they’re not in the game right now.
