The carbine's surface is covered with paint of black and gray shades. The receiver features a basilisk, a mythological serpentine creature mentioned since the classical era. In the Middle Ages, this creature's image was supplemented with wings and a rooster-like appearance making it similar to the cockatrice. The carbine features the wingless, serpentine version of the basilisk.
