Skin history
M4A4 | Desert Storm appeared in CS:GO on August 14, 2013. It’s included in The Dust Collection, introduced to the shooter in “The Arms Deal” update with the other nine themed weapon collections containing the first ever weapon finishes in the Counter-Strike series.
Pattern features
The gun's receiver, magazine, and muzzle are covered with beige paint and a brown pattern forming a camouflage, which is very effective in arid areas with plenty of heated sand, dunes, and rocks. Also, there are some black and white stains.
The pistol grip is deep black, and the shoulder stock and forend are brown.
Effect of the pattern index
This index determines how the camouflage is applied to the weapon's surface. However, there are no valuable variants of the pattern for this skin.
Effect of float
Float Value of the item can vary between 0.06 and 0.80, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. Even at the minimal possible float value, the paint is already erased from some of the weapon’s surface. As the float value increases, the gun gradually wears down. At high values, most of the weapon's paint gets erased, making the camouflage pattern indistinguishable.
Rarity and popularity
M4A4 | Desert Storm is categorized as the “Industrial Grade” rarity and is unavailable in either souvenir or StatTrak versions. The skin is not popular among CS2 players.
