Skin history
AWP | Gungnir appeared in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on November 18, 2019. It belongs to The Norse Collection dedicated to Scandinavian mythology. It was introduced to the shooter along with Operation Shattered Web.
Pattern features
The entire surface of the sniper rifle is covered with various Nordic patterns. The receiver, shoulder stock, and scope fasteners are covered with blue paint, while the other parts of the gun are beige.
Effect of float
Float Value of the item can vary between 0.00 and 0.60, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. As the float value increases, the weapon gradually darkens and slightly wears down. With heavy wear, the paint completely disappears from the barrel, revealing a pattern of connected triangles. The blue parts of the gun do not lose the paint but are only covered with a dark patina.
Rarity and popularity
AWP | Gungnir belongs to the “Covert” rarity grade and is unavailable in either souvenir or StatTrak versions. The skin is popular among CS2 players, but only a few can afford such an expensive item.
