Skin history
AWP | Medusa appeared in CS:GO on May 26, 2015. It belongs to The Gods and Monsters Collection, based on ancient Greek mythology. It was introduced to the shooter with Operation Bloodhound.
Pattern features
The shoulder stock of the sniper rifle features a semi-profile depiction of Medusa's head from ancient Greek mythology. She appears to be glancing sideways at the observer, presumably wishing to turn them into stone with her gaze. Colorful snakes, replacing her hair, spread in different directions, covering half of the receiver. The rest of the gun is a standard black color.
Effect of float
Float Value of AWP | Medusa can vary between 0.00 and 1.00, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. As the float value increases, the gun just gets covered with a dark patina. There are no other visible wear marks on this skin.
Rarity and popularity
AWP | Medusa belongs to the “Covert” rarity grade and is unavailable in either souvenir or StatTrak versions. The skin is moderately popular among CS2 players.
